Whether or not this video makes the cops look bad. Your telling me 4 grown men could not subdue a man without hurting him??? WTF!!! I mean was it absolutely necessary to do that with the taser? If they need a guide on how to take a person down easily with 4 people then they shouldn't be cops. 1 grabs 1 leg another the other, one grabs a arm and once again another the other. You put cuffs on the guy and walk away.
the law says even if the arrest is unlawful, it does not give you the right to resist arrest....look it up, and im sure you editted the video to make the cops look bad.
I think the guy stopped resisting as soon as they pulled a gun out on him, he visibly put his hands to the sides which is body language for "I give up" but they fired any way.
There are always bad cops and good cops, and im sure many cops out there do the right thing, however there are some that don't make the right decision at the right moment.
There was 4 cops there, who could of easily over powered him to arrest him, but no, far easier to incapacitate him with 10,000 volts. Thats wrong.
You should never resist arrest, unless it is to lay down on the ground as a passive protest. From the video you can't tell what the guy did that made the cops go after him. But cops should be tough enough to just ignore a certain amount of verbal abuse, and too many cops won't take a few minutes to reason with people, they just want to slap on the cuffs and if you even lay a finger on them they pull out the mace and the taser.
That sucks, but as others have said, it does look as if he was resisting arrest. Sure, he may have been just trying to stand, but if police officers are telling you to get down, you'd better do as they say. I don't believe he would've been tasered if he had gone straight to the floor. I still feel sorry for hi though :(

The man who got viciously attacked by those cops was trying to see if she was okay. The cops told him to leave and he tried to get his bag and they wouldn't let him. I say he was trying to stand on his feet and not resisting, but he was acquitted of interference with EMTs because the video shows reasonable doubt he didn't. I was busy filming elsewhere during part of this and testified to that in court. No intentional conspiracy there. If he said something like fuck you when asked to move is that really worth a Taser shot?

That sucks, but as others have said, it does look as if he was resisting arrest.
