@Plagueafh its in real time alright. Anyone leaned in to turn 1 at over 100MPH is movin fast at Willow Springs. Speedo just dips below 100MPH mid turn.
@freelancephotopro Hey Slim, whatup my man!haha, still way slower than you mr. Hope to get back on the track with you next season and learn some more from you....now just putting my bike together with some new parts to make it better....talk to you soon, pat
looks like you increased the speed of the video. The speed of your hands shifting and working the throttle are not natural. We're you really within the times you are stating?
@Plagueafh hey,haha-this is actually the real time and nothing fast forwarded or anything. The real pros (like AMA riders) put down laps that are 10seconds or so faster per lap than mine....So, I'm in for a challenge next season :)
Doesn't the guy in the front of you(neon shirt) have an incorrect form? I was under the impression that you had to put your head in the direction of the corner.
@ThaBR33D Hey!You're right, it looks like he's a bit twisted but he still had a pretty good body-lean in the corner and was parallel to the bike. Just look at the TT races, most of the guys seem a bit twisted and don't lean off as much, but they also have to be careful not to hit the wall with their heads ;)
This guy is fast. Just one tip, you don't have to use your clutch while upshifting. You get so much more acceleration when you don't use it and you're not screwing up your bike.
@motoboy1495 Thank You for the tip, it's what I hear a lot but I felt like waiting for a quick-shifter to actually feel comfortable doing this. I tried it a couple of times and maybe it was just me being new to that technique but it didn't feel as smooth as shifting with clutch....
@motoboy1495 Actually you are screwing up the bike. You'll wear out the transmission if you do clutchless upshifts. It is faster but just not worth it in the long run unless you can easily afford to replace your motor.
@borbor122 haha, thanks!not a monster yet but working on it ;)I guess it really depends on where you live. Here in Southern California are some good organizations (Motoyard.com - Trackdaz.com - etc), you go on the website, sign-up for your track day and group level (beginner, intermediate, racer) and then you just need a way to transport your bike and gear.A track day pass is usually $100-150 + gear, tires or whatever you might need. It's definitely worth it! I try to do it 1x/month. best, pat
@borbor122 my name is Steven, you can reach me at 213-435-4653, i am a trackday promoter in which i can help you get setup... give me a call, this is not spam, Pat knows me too!
@cj33ward Hey, yeah-it was a great day out there and my fastest time out there too. And yes, the long right-hander before start-finish always seemed to upset my front a little, maybe it's time to invest in some suspension upgrades :)
@cj33ward I am usually running A-Group as B is sometimes just overfilled but it was just right this time, some time to concentrate on overtaking again. I was just dead tired by the last group-session :) Yeah, don't push your limits and always try to learn within where you feel comfortable, try to follow people that are a bit faster and when you do that long enough you'll end up having great time by getting faster every time and without crashing - my story so far :)

@motoboy1495 Yeah actually you are. By doing this you are scraping off about 1500-2000 miles between your clutch changes.
