  • @razoleg uhahuhua .. let go, if for you marijuana is a drug, okay, I respect that. But to me there is drug for me is smoking, alcohol and drugs that are released here in Brazil, while marijuana is banned, I fight for marijuana to be free and that anyone wishing to use marijuana use, each one does what you want . Respect my opinion I respect her, everyone has the right to do what you think is right, then I will not talk shit.

    AAA+++ Talent!

  • I seen these guys or should I say musical angels about 7yrs ago and regret not having that burnt cd. I was touched by their musical soulful compositions. It was the first time I had been to Chicago and was one of the bright points of my visit. Now they are players with passport and worldwide.

  • out of this world

  • These guys are all from CHICAGO.

  • Seen them just by chance at a music festival, didn't know who they were at the time I was just walking by and they got my attention, one of the best live acts I've ever seen, great tunes to dance to. Definitely gonna keep an eye out for them in the future

  • I've seen this group twice...once a couple of years ago supporting Mos Def @ Shepherds Bush Empire in London, then last year in Camden. Got to meet them after the gig which was amazing!! even though one of them hit on the girl that I took with me (first date). Definitely see these guys if you ever ever EVER get a chance. Amazing.

  • @Feanour lmao

  • awesome

  • so Refreshing!!!! always love to hear these guys

  • These guys are so good, its true you wouldnt hear this kind of epic talent on the radio on the radio. peace

  • Pure Magic.

    legalize marijuana

  • @jazzskaattack

I never understand you people? What do drugs have to do with good music?

  • @jazzskaattack

I never understood people who link music to drugs. If you want to create something beautiful, stay yourself, use your head. If you can't drugs won't help you.

  • @razoleg ¬ ¬ and you happen to think that marijuana is a drug? = / For me, it's just an herb created by God!

  • i usually love everything about this band but idk. it might be the camera or something but this doesnt sound quite right to me. w/e. they amazing

  • @whatthedealyo Probably the encoding to put it on YouTube. Brass is pretty much always better in person.

  • @whatthedealo some here i heard in new york and it semmed better there ..

  • They bring Union Square NYC to a standstill whenever they play. They are BRILLIANT - and this is my favorite song.

  • i love the way they swing, and the simplicity of the video is class

  • did you know that these guy are from egypt?

P.S i love all the songs they play this is real music not the bull shit they play on radio

  • They're from Chi city... their dad was in sun ra's band... hes a very respected jazz act... i dont know if hes originally from egypt but they,re music sounds like soul jazz from the chi to me

  • Did you know that Egypt was a civilization built by original Black Africans??

  • uh... no man... no they dont... theyre from Chicago... watch The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble posted by TheNewYorkTimes and it says so in an interview

  • they play in NY but im not sure where they came from

  • @abhijit9331 nm i saw them i chicago, srry all ppl

  • these guys are unreal!!!!

    pure magic

  • Aamazing show at Electric Picnic.

  • 4min and few seconds ... thats how drums should be played. absolutely great song well done to these guys . heard them on a cool radio station in Greece

  • @Sm0kingDawg mn i want to go to greece.........

  • hell yea, thats called half-time

  • @xxgoalie99xx hehe makes sense, it kind of empties the rhythm and accentuates the head-banging motion :) I play the base guitar (self taught) and I love all gr8 muzik. I think that the tuba kind of acts as a baseline here. Have you listened to The Heavy - How You Like Me Now ? Crazy horns (not so wicked as these guys) but very low deep down dirty sound quality. Can't wait to get home (I'm a doctor and am on shift now) to try the baseline. Any other cool tunes you could suggest? Rock on bro!

  • @Sm0kingDawg I have a song but its not really anything like hypnotic brass ensemble, but they take jazz to another level with what they are playing. check out "Jazz Crimes" - Joshua Redman

  • I feel like an ape who tries to understand space engineering while listening to these guys groove. My ear is not so trained to the fluctuations of jazz so all I can say is I have to listen to more jazz to grasp the magnificence of this piece. The drummer must have a cerebellum (motion coordination) the size of a football. I had in mind tracks like Vehicle (Ides of March) or Brothers on the Slide (Cymande) but thanks for the suggestion all the same I always enjoy new tunes.

  • @Sm0kingDawg

You realize this isn't jazz, right?

It's got some features of it, but it's definitely closer to a hip hop feel than jazz. There's only four chords present for most of the piece, and it adds two more later. i-v-iv-vi, then some bVII and bVI with some cool tones thrown in.

  • @Burgerbob22 who cares what it is,it's fuckin' awesome :)

  • @Burgerbob22 You realize jazz & rock & roll were both originally euphanisms for SEX, right?

  • @sunra3000 Euphemisms? Sorry dude. No dice on either one.

  • @Burgerbob22 this is pure jazzzzzzzz hip hop and jazz is the same thing................ get your mind right !

  • just can't get enuff it

  • ABSOLUTELY SOULFULL!

  • Absolutely LUV this track!!!
