Great point! Some Americans have said that they would never travel anywhere outside the United States cuz they assume that all foreign countries have ppl that act like savages, all the places have poverty, smell etc when in reality, for instance me being an Indian now ppl are starting to know that rich Indians other then the ones in the slums, live and think like westerners, many places in India are very developed, and advanced etc.
