@infinitcode2 Yes lol. It's the 'normal' price in Europe. In the mean while it's 50,- to 100,- cheaper in the EU, but i bought it about 1,5 years ago. But hey, it's worth the money for sure ;)

@infinitcode2 This is in fact a Macro IS USM. You are also able to buy version 1 of this lens which is without IS. IS does come in handy (at least for me, shaky hands lol). You could also go for the 60mm, or 180mm. For extreme macro go for a Canon MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro Photo. But this lens takes a lot of skill/practise and isn't automated at all; everything is manual. I went for the 100mm because of the L quality, optics and build and it's nice, between 60mm & 180mm & good for portraits too
