i'm more of a fan of the megaman zero time line . but the netnavi are a lot like cyber elves of the zero series that descends directly from the original megaman series and X timeline universes. although in this one dr. light was not a 72 year old virgin and actually got married and had kids, one of which was revived as megaman. i think that the original and the network were part of the same universe at one point but diverged into diff timelines when dr light got laid in college and had a kid
