Hey man, sounds awesome! Like your tone and your 16th notes on the solo are played well. I know as another fellow Christian Bassist that's hard work! Although, I have just a small thing I wanted to point out (maybe you've already fixed it since you made this video): On the 2nd and 4th bar, the last notes in the sequence are incorrect I believe. I listened to the original, I'm pretty sure the last 2 sixteenth notes in the 2nd bar sequence are F#. And the same goes for the 4th bar too. Great job!

for the solo part...i know the notes and stuff but im having a hard time plucking it. any suggestion?

@danielkrs425 -well my best suggestion is to practice. This was quite hard for me as well because i had never played a line like this (constant 16th notes while changing strings) so what i did was just started with the tempo very slow, playing along with a metronome. i did this until i could play the solo perfect. then i would bring the tempo up a few clicks. then did it until i could do it perfectly, and keep this up until i could do it up to the regular speed.

@danielkrs425 I cheat a little bit and use a pick. It's still tricky because you're switching on the downstroke sometimes and the upstroke other times, but it's easier than fingers in my opinion.

@guitarwill17 - i suppose it depends on the bass. some 5 strings are spaced like a 4 string. i like my 5 string for this song because the strings are closer together so it is a bit easier for me.

@HSong4ever -i really enjoy the bass and dont have a lot of desire to play guitar even though i have 2 of them. having fun is up to you. Why doesn't it look fun? just because you play less notes than a guitar? you can make a guitar boring too. Just because someone plays guitar doesn't necessarily make it easier to play bass (unless you play it like a guitar) you just know how to push down fret and pick. there are totally different techniques and ways of making a bass fit in a song than guitar.

I'm going to disagree with you a bit on that. I think knowing any instrument makes learning another one easier, especially if they are as simliar as guitar and bass. They are both string instruments and they have the same scales across the EADG strings.

@dhuntermilk well first off its an A unless you are playing it a step down,but as far as making it clear i can just say to make sure you pluck it firmly. almost like your trying to make it much louder than then rest (without overdoing it) hope that helps some :D
