This song is a perfect example of why I love TFF. It's like an exhilarating thrill ride that has a million twists and turns. At the end of the ride, you want to get back on it and ride some more.
Tears for Fears are on the the great bands of the 1980 s and the quality of their songs has stood the test of time unlike a lot of the 1980 s songs----great muscians , great artists --
One of the best albums ever. They were like in a zone when they made this. I still have it on cassette. I bought it when I was 17. Now I`m 39 and it`s still amazing. A timeless piece of work.
@GeorgeBurrito this is the studio version, but they performed songs live before their release on occasion, so the beginning was just part of the live performance mixed in. like how on songs from the big chair they added the live version of Broken to the end of head over heels
this was my fave song of all time as a kid...i grew up listning to tears for fears and level 42, i now produce my own electronic music and have been quite succesful this year with my tunes and i owe my music talents to growing up listning to music like this!!
This music really sort of helped me be more centered, calm, and get me through depressing or stressful times when i was younger. The lyrics are really great on this whole cd.
This song reminds me my epochs as student of High Schol and the awakening to the life, her marvels and his your problems. I knew this Tears For's brilliant disc Fears because I was thrown(shot) in a hassock of the Mexico City being of vacations the casette (already they are not used now) and when I heard it, I liked much and I was listening to it when I was feeling sad or depressed. These songs mean very much for my and to turn them to finding they me mend to my not very distant youth.

Always wondered....this was recorded live, right? Or, is that just studio effects? If so, is there a studio version?
