I have family in DC (uncle is actually a fireman down the street from the Tune Inn) and we always go to Tune Inn for breakfast. It's just as good for breakfast as lunch and dinner. The staff is unique and full of personality. I love this place. Unfortunately a few months ago the place burned down. they rebuilt it and it went from amazing to unbelievable. I absolutely love this place!

The Tune Inn is back. This historic bar, with the second-oldest liquor license in the city, has been renovated following a kitchen fire in June of this year. My first impression, which was echoed by my drinking companions, was, "It looks the same, only cleaner." Back on the walls, in almost exactly the same places, are years of memorabilia and taxidermy. Yes, the taxidermy deer butt has returned to its place over the door to the men's room.

The Washington Star Sports Department used to close out the Sunday edition and go to The Tune Inn on Saturday nights for 70-cent drafts. Last call for everyone else was around 1:45 am. Last call for Star Sports staff was just before closing at 1:55 am. :-)
