For those who think Doug dislikes the series, Doug mentioned he never "got into the books" meaning that he does not read them, not dislike them. He actually liked the sixth movie for building character and seventh movie and mentioned the eight film was his favorite in a sense. So instead I'll just point out that, even though LOTR references are part of a joke... you can't say which would beat which. The two universes are incompatible, the fight couldn't happen with both working off of different rules. Besides, LOTR has an entirely different kind of wizard... altogether!
