That being said, Callahan did pop him in the face (0:26) and then interfere with him (0:27) first. Not that that should excuse Crosby; if you can't control your emotions on the ice you are a danger to other players.

If callahan doesnt reach out and initiate contact and take the interference call and sid still slewfoots him he would have been called, callahan should never have put himself or his team in that spot by being lazy on the backcheck.
