  • Stupid Liberal City!

  • Another boring city just like the rest of em but Ny is by far the most boring

  • @99boyz Come on man seriously? Austin is such great city...there's something there for everyone. It's so diverse and anyone can find a place to fit in

  • This is AWESOME, i live by (The Ann Richards school for young women leaders) it used to be PORTER JR HIGH. just a block or two from the end of this video :D

  • Lets roll.

  • dont crash into that VW bug!

  • That was cool, Love your city

  • Ugly city. Viva San Francisco!

  • @sbusumacinta San Fran is full of drugs and fags, fuck off you cali pussy.

  • @scott6506 Me mentioning your city is ugly has nothing to do with you being a homophobic red neck! No wonder you live in Texas!

  • Great music!

Austin has really got very busy roads. It's a beautiful city indeed.

  • melofitness.devhub.com Serving the austin communty for years!

  • holy shit is your traffic bad!! you drive like i do!! lmao

  • Reminds me of Sioux City, IA or Omaha, NE. And I am car sick after watching the fast motion. :O

  • So I am just going to take some guesses since I can't see any street names. I am assuming that this video starts off on Airport Blvd and then onto I-35 high rise, passing MLK exit, getting off at 12th st, turns onto 6th st and goes all the way to North Lamar and turns left, passing the river and ends up on South Lamar.

I can only assume that the annoyed looking biker dude who cant see past that Tahoe is between Barton Springs and Riverside. You turned onto Barton Skyway maybe? might be wrong.

  • Holy cow there's alot of traffic! seems like Austin has out grown there infrastructure But looks like a cool city to live and work

  • Bleck i35, hate.... did you go downtown just to take guadalupe/lamar north? O.o

  • @MelevolantAngel take guadalupe/lamar north? no way they went south past the river into south lamar.

  • @Lurch524 Yes you can all you have to do is take 6th st. west. To lamar from there go under the bridge an keep going south.Lamar goes all the way to mancha and starts as far north as howard ln.So basicly if you don't mind the lights you can avoid traffic jams by taking lamar.

  • @Soflynoli23 no no no thats not that i said. the other dude was asking if the driver was going north on lamar and i corrected him saying that he was not going north, he was going south. you just told me the exact same thing that i just said

  • nashing through austin

  • I-35 I live in Austin Texas

  • @bixbyknollsCA

    Shut the fuck up

    Go to hell man

  • live music capitol of the world bitches

  • woa that was nuts! lol I love my ATX

  • Hold space bar to watch at normal speed

  • awesome video.

  • im ganna move there pretty soon.... how is it over there? hope its not fucking terrible.

  • @Guacotechti213 hell no it's not terrible

  • @Guacotechti213 Austin is good stuff. Depending on what you like, there's something for everyone.

  • yo if you're in ATX check out a blogspot called weouthereman i found it on google and its awesome!

  • the song is perfect for the video. I like the motorcycle dude. He looks pretty impatient at the light.

  • @falconflyer34 Only thing is he is playing with fate. Always wear a helmet.

  • LOL the traffic is still the same

  • ahhhhh yes i love this city! we drive like Bats outa heLL!!!

  • Yeah, welcome to Austin, don't forget to leave!

  • Tailgate much?

  • lol nice.

  • Haaha, @1:38-1:46 --> Proof that the light at 6th and Lamar *sucks*!

  • I dig the this video, but instead of the stop and go of 35's upper deck at the beginning I would've filmed driving down Guadalupe or Red River to get to downtown. I love Austin and I'm proud to call it home! I sold my car and got a biiiicycle, yeeah!

  • I've been on all of those streets! Austin is tha shiz

  • I just came back from Texas about 2 weeks. It was my first time ever visiting Texas. I originally stayed in San Antonio w my brother but he took me to Austin one night. I had the time of my life! Especially on 6th Street!! The people were really nice and down to earth, it's very diverse as far as race, styles, music, and so on... I always pictured Austin to be boring, with nothing to do or see, and full of cowboys etc... man was I wrong! Now, Im actually considering moving out there...lol

  • @baangel24 What's the job situation like in Austin? I'm sure that you weren't thinking about this while you were there, but I'd appreciate any info you might have about it. Thanks.

  • @baangel24 im considering moving out there too! how is san antonio tho?

  • ATX sucka !! miss it !

  • hey i saw myself. i was on that cap metro bus

  • Austins Whack!! Looks kinda Boring & Slow, I would hate living in Austin Yaaahn!!

  • @TheHypercamera i live in austin is kinda boring here good thig im moving to las vegas soon

  • @ipodtouch4reviews How can it be boring in Austin. Austin has so many bars and concert venues. I've never been there but it looks like an exciting place with a very lively community, great music scene all in a secure economically sound city.

  • @esca8652 unless your not into drinking. I don't drink or party. I'm too young (16) and have better things to do with my life than get drunk and dance. If you feel to move on to the bigger and better things you will leave texas.

  • @bixbyknollsCA What the heck man??? Texas, especially Austin, is one of the most cultured cities in the country! Its very high tech, academic, and cultured. Its one of the best places to live in the world!

  • I miss Austin so much! Lived there the first 13 years of my life, now I live in NY.... I have like.... 5 different local shirts from there and people think I'm weird for wearing them, but they're so special to me.

  • wish it was that fast to get to 183 to 71

  • @roger9h yeah!

  • Destination? 78704, of course!!

  • austin rules!!!!! lived here all my life!!!!

  • I am not racist at all... I actually think it's beautiful when two cultures come together. But I've always wondered what I'm about to ask. And that's; Do a lot of African American and Hispanics live in Austin itself? I know A LOT of Hispanics and Mexicans live in the whole state, but I might be moving to Austin soon, so I was just wondering. Also, are people down in Austin racist? Because I've heard many stories about Austin. I'm not trying to judge or stereo type your hometown or anything. :)

  • @9shrek compared to the rest of texas, (i have lived in texas all my life and been all over the state) austin is the least racist city i have been in yet! and i live here now!

  • @mitsuclipspyder it's also all white. It's not hard to not have racial conflicts in a city with all white people. I like Austin, but in regards to race it's not diverse in the least. Houston, on the other hand, is extremely diverse in that regard.

  • Comment removed

  • @merveilleuxcameron Yea if you were in North or West Austin. East Austin is full of mexicans, blacks, and North lamar by I-35 has a huge asian population. Also Centra/South Austin is pretty diverse. Houston still has areas that are predominatley white like the katy or concordia areas as well as areas that are predominatley ethnic like the wards. You could argue that Houston is so spread out that these different races dont have to deal with each other often.

  • @mitsuclipspyder what an ironically prejudice statement.

  • @Speegs23 because i have been discriminated against almost everywhere i have been except austin?

  • @mitsuclipspyder so you claim, and clearly your personal claim must be the final authority. You expose prejudice by a willing to be use such flippant blanket statements and then myopically base it on the claim of personal discrimination by a population of 23 million, get over yourself.

If you are receiving that much discrimination it isn't over your skin pigmentation, it's probably over your careless tongue.

  • @Speegs23 * a willingness to use

  • @Speegs23 they asked for an opinion and i gave it. get over YOURSELF. it's an OPINION. i never said i was speaking for all of austin. that's why i used words like I and MY.

  • @mitsuclipspyder I think it is you that needs to get over themselves, it's hypocritical to claim prejudice and then make a prejudice statement. You have not met 23 million people and gauged how they treat you, you sound myopic and paranoid, perhaps even self loathing. If it's just an opinion you apparently aren't tolerant of anyone else's, again great irony.

  • @Speegs23 i hate people like you. take things too far. try to make a big deal about nothing. i never claimed to have met 23million people. i made an OPINION from what i have observed from the people i have met. when scientists make a statistic they don't make the statistic from everyone in the world. just from a large population of subjects. same idea here. get over it.

  • @mitsuclipspyder "You hate" ell that pretty much sums it up, you are a prejudice person claiming other people are prejudice, lol.

  • @mitsuclipspyder

It is also the most Liberal city, woot!!!

  • @9shrek

Austin is definitely a great mix of everything - races, ethnicity, politics, religion and yuppies and weirdos... (Heh heh). Traffic is rough but its such a minor issue considering you get a beautiful city full of passion and beauty

  • punchbuggy no returns!! :)

  • Keep Austin Weird!

  • wouldnt it be nice if the lights rly wur this short?

  • It's funny how I'm so familiar with where you're going.

  • Comment removed

  • omg i fucking miss austin!!! i knew every place your drove by and from the traffic im sure it was 5 oclock traffic on I-35 lol i used to drive through downtown just to avoid the traffic :) i cant wait to go back "home"

  • This made me super excited for my upcoming trip to Austin!

  • You follow too closely on way too many occasions

  • @rectaltemp - That is just Austin driving.

  • Comment removed

  • @bollardtwin It is Jason Loewenstein from the album 'At Sixes and Sevens".

  • Dang right best city, traffic SUCKS on 3 main roads, but its ALWAYS at the same time every day.

Once you get past that, nothing is bad :)

  • How did you record the video twice original speed? Which software have you used?

  • @ozkantarik Adobe Premiere

  • @flynn69 Fuck. I thought you were just driving really fast. I need to see a doctor.

  • @ozkantarik its called speed ramp...or speed up

  • I hear Austin TX Is a fantastic city!

  • @breezwonder It is, it really is. There are those who complain that there's nothing "family friendly" to do or that it really is a 'single's town' but they just don't know where to look (and they probably haven't even been down here to check it, anyway). =)

  • cool! love it!

  • @SUpersaiyajinjerkbag No, you're talking more about any city in California.

  • very nice indeed..

  • He went from Airport down I 35 to 6th st west to Lamar South to Barton Skyway in 2:45 Thats freaking fast!!

  • @SUpersaiyajinjerkbag Why is that?

  • I miss Austin! I can't wait to move back to the ATX!!!

  • @ejoelleduval only been there oncet myself, but loved every second i was there. i plan on comin' back sometime.

  • i love Austin!

  • Austin is BEAUTIFUL!

  • im glad i live in austin

  • Love this video.....i wish i was in austin.Tx!!!

  • I'm from Southern Cali but is Austin expensive to live at? I Cali is more but just wondering. Was thinking about moving there and possibly try to find a job.

  • @clippers4me It was recommended in the top 10 cities to raise a family. I wouldn't think it's too expensive.

  • @clippers4me I do not know where people get this idea that Austin is expenscive to live at. Obviously there are expensive parts of Austin but our housing prices are below national average. I love it here in Austin and you can find a home in every price range here. Cali will be a lot more than Austin.

  • @clippers4me

Southern California has its issues but I am kinda mystified when people say "California sucks so bad that I will move to paragon states like TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA!!111"

  • Well if you live here long enough and understand how people act and bascially brainwashed by Hollywood, you would understand besides the freaking high cost of living and everybody is in a rat race.

  • @eyelikepie1 da springhill suites on north parmer-lane! dya no it??

  • yes

  • austin is awesome

  • Am movin coz ive gt a job in the marriott hotel der!!! its part of me course in uni!

  • @Kirsty618 which mariott hotel?

  • best city in the world

  • i fucken miss this place san antonio is a bit of a bummer

  • Am movin ere in July!!! cnt wait!! all da way frm Liverpool England!!!

  • @Kirsty618 i went there from 92-96. best time of my life. you will love it.

  • why are you moving to Austin?

  • Austin is COOL :) but this video is about traffic.

  • I'm amazed how different Austin looks after 4 years.

  • That's my town!

  • im moving to austin in 23 days!!! all the way from Pennsylvania!! haha

  • Don't move here bitch. You'll ruin everything,.

  • Stay home!! To many people are moving here!!

  • Any one from Austin play xboX360? if so add me!

    Miss Bloodbath. :)

  • Lol it's so weird seeing this video cause I know where all of that's at. Lol. I LOVE atx!!! I love it here.

  • Looks like any other city! Don't get me wrong, I love Austin!

  • I think I been there once-on the way from LA to Chicago we had to pass right through there on the IH-10 Freeway. It took like 1 and 1/2 weeks, not counting getting lost at the Mexican border. We figured out a short-cut going home right over the Rocky Mountain High-thanks to the John Denver CD.

  • @erndog71 AGREED DUDE. A lot of people move to austin cause its a college/party town and has a really unique vibe, but that is also whats ruining it. Austin in the late 80's/early 90's was so much different than it is now.

  • Thanks- its Dec. in new england....f*ck it, Im goin to austen texas....you've sold me....'preciate it

  • I went one summer and it was awesome!!! Loved it. The women there are so beautiful! And the brisket? Oh my god, I was eatin' it for breakfast.

  • i flippin love austin.KEEP AUSTIN WIERD!

  • This city looks awsome...They say keep Portland weird in Portland OR

  • I love Austin but moved... Thank u for making this so I can see home again. :-) keep Austin wierd!

  • austin is one of the most in love with itself places i've ever been to. 6th street= bars, tattoos and t-shirts. nothing real special. and for it being the live music capitol of the world, actually it's just a bunch of unheard of bands that can't afford garadges. =) keep weird and keep to yourselves

  • Ummm.. it has one of the largest music festivals in the world, is one of the most green cities in the united states, and has really unique spots aroudn campus like the drag and hyde park, etc.

I could go on for hours about all the crazy shit in austin. Those drunk frat kids must of ruined your time in austin I guess.

  • This looks so awesome...someone needs to do this but off roading :P

  • Come live in Austin! :]

  • Yes, please! Austin is the best (=

  • You're the idiot that doesn't know how to drive. ! I've seen you.

  • would be cool if someone uploaded some more Jason Loewenstein!

  • my city

  • love Austin. this video is really cool, i love the fast motion

  • aww I miss austin soo much but my sis bf made her move to rockwall,tx so now we don't get to see austin anymore

  • Just moved out here and it's great!

  • best city ever

  • Oh, and what song did you use in thsi video?

  • Yeah, Austin's definitely a fun place. I've lived here for quite some time myself. I've seen a lot of things come and go, but it's still a cool place to hang out. It's definitely worth visiting at least.

  • Im moving up to Austin around mid Feb early March and Im trying to figure out where are the good places to live. My budget is about 550-600(max) which isn't a lot but I just don't want to live in bad area.

  • Move to Leander/Cedar Park. Fairly cheap, countryside, close to the city. Need I say more?

  • I live in Austin and it's an awesome place. I recommed austin as the best major city in Texas. Watch out for the cops though, they are really racist.(I almost got arrested when a break in happened in my neighbor hood.) A white guy broke in, but they stopped only us Mexicans and black people, not white people!!!!!!!!!!

  • sweet i wanna go to USA but i don't realy want to leave australia... I DON'T KNOW WICH ONE TO LIVE IN

  • usa. come to texas

  • Stay in Ausrtralia but visit the US It's a beautiful country and the people for the most part are really friendly. Not as friendly as Australians though. Your country is also beautiful. I live in Canada and have been to both countries but I loved Australia. You people are special in a great way. I had a fantastic time.

  • If I were you, I'd stay in Austraila. THe U.S is not what it used to be. Our Nation is all fucked up with nothing but bunch of Corporate greed, rat race and people trying to step on each other just to get ahead.

  • @clippers4me Austin is expensive. Your better off going to Houston or Dallas

  • WoW! thats like, a block away from where i live! hahaha

  • Austin is a great city, the ppl are very friendly well any i had the pleasure of meeting, i'l defo be going back sum day

  • Really? I woul like to go there someday. Maybe this fall.

  • ATX!

  • im moving to ATX this fall!~!

  • Welcome!

  • @PornoPlaylist Don't to many people coming here

  • tx the second state with more people in the Unitde states.

  • Austin , its great. its nothing like the rest of texas which is great. its librel(cant spell). and has awsome shops, nice ppl, its open to all kinds of ppl, its very clean. new. my friends call this city mini cali. third fastest growing, and 3 best city in the US to live in

  • Most big cities are liberal. Austin is no exception. Our other big cities, Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio, are also more liberal than conservative. Suburban districts (which cover most of Texas) make it a generally conservative state.

  • lol, wtf are you smoking? Austin is liberal, but Houston, Dallas and San Antonio? No doubt they probably have alot of free thinkers/liberal minded people but those are all majority conservative cities.
