@sweetbilly Do you know what congressmen and senators are paid. It's not minimum wage, I assure you. They make $174,000 a year in either house or senate. Its not as bad as corporate CEO pay, which can be many many millions a year, but where I come from thats certainly no where near minimum wage.

Start lining up your Republican congressmen and senators.... nearly all of them have been guilty of such activity over the past decade. This includes all your darlings of the Tea Party that have been in the congress.

Oh, and there was NO mention of the President being involved in such while in office or while in the Senate in the 60 minutes piece. The major Democrat mentioned was the previous speaker of the house. Get your facts straight.

@ozonewdb I did agree that there is corruption involved, but having watched the 60 minutes piece there is NO MENTION of Obama being in any way involved. Pelosi was shown and confronted and denied the facts and obviously was indeed profiting from her position.

That said, the majority of the players in the past decade have been the Republicans, and it is the Republicans that the Tea Party supports, funds and votes for, not anyone who will fix things.

@ozonewdb He has taken no PAC money to date for THIS run, but did take PAC money in his last presidential run. 48% of his money this run comes from Large individual contributors (those are people who have donated $2,500 each and are not 'little guys'). He is also associated with a PAC (but not taking money from one directly) the Revolution Super PAC. And is associated with the conservative 'Nevadians For Liberty'. These organizations pretty much do negative attacks on his opponents.

@unquietsoul Oh side note, a large number of those donors of Ron Paul's are Microsoft Employees (who apparently have been heavily encouraged by their employer to donate), members of the Finance and Insurance Industry and a fair amount of the military (which seems to spawn from his anti-Gay and possible racist statements in his own newsletters in the past that he's tried to distance himself from in this Presidential run by claiming someone else on his staff wrote such under his name.

@ozonewdb Ron Paul has not built his political war chest on $10 donations. He takes in donations from individuals of up to $2500 each on his website during his 'money bomb' fundraisers.

Additionally his personal assets involve very heavy investment in Gold Stocks. This is a bearish bet against the economy so that he profits as long as the economy is bad. He's betting on things just getting worse and worse, and is working to keep it that way. Tell me he's on our side and you're a fool.
