Read the description, people. That dog is lucky to have such a loving family to look after her. I know all too well what it's like to lose a dear pet, and this reunion makes for one of the most touching videos I have ever seen.

Why is she Crying its just a dog we eat those here in china and in America they torture them, beat them, let them starve to death, use them as punching bags when were mad, train them to kill and fight other dogs, cops train them to be komikaze and go after bad guys who have weapons that could kill a human but were smart enough to train dogs to go after them first and act as a shield
The government is only looking out for your Best interest when it delays your reunion with your dogs and its only expensive for this process because they are trying there best to reunite man and dog
Shipping a dog between countries can be such an ordeal once your attached to your little fluffy, but it is absolutely worth it! I spent 6 months going through the ups and downs of tests trying to get my 2 Thai dogs to Australia from Bangkok, and at one point wondered if Id ever see them again, because they weren't passing tests... but somehow fate allowed it..and they are now living the best years if their life...they are so happy here! I can't believe that there are people arguing in the comments, on such a happy video. People, read the description and you'll realise why the dog was 'dumped', and please stop arguing. You're destorying the happiness this video is all about.
I'm a vet tech who works at a shelter part time; I am a vicarious advocate for keeping animals with their family at all costs. This family did have to give up their dog but they did what most people would never do--tracked the dog down and paid to have it flown BACK. Amazing dedication on the part of Holly's family and may you guys have many many happy years together.
You should have never abandoned the dog, we all know how Middle Easterners treat animals (you must be thankful that Holly wasn't cooked for lunch or dinner actually by a poor family)....thank God you did the right thing in the end!
@cat22203 this is a highly racist and uneducated comment.... perhaps you've never been to DUBAI, but its hardly representational of the stereotypical culture you're referencing. Last time I was there, I picked up Starbucks in the airport before heading to an INDOOR SKI RESORT. Nevermind the fact that the impoverished middle east you're thinking of doesn't even EAT DOG MEAT....way to confuse it with rural Korea and Vietnam.
@irkenequine YOU ARE the highly uneducated one or simply another MIddle Easterner who is trying to portray things under another light. I am part of an animal humane society and we are gathering report after report from all over Europe: The Middle Easterners who have flooded Europe now are stealing and kidnapping the pets of the Europeans and sell them in illegal markets to be cooked for dinner. We have numerous reports of Middle Easterners attacking dogs and cats with bats, kill them, skin them
@cat22203 and cook them...So far we have Iraqis, Afghans, Pakistanis, people from Qatar, Yemen, Syria and Iran going to court for skinning stray dogs and sell them in illegal markets. Last time I checked the map, all these countries belong to the Middle East! Until you decide to change your brutal Islamist ways against women, children and animals, shut up and go hide back to your cave liar!
@tpmableful Come say these sorry excuses to the Iraqis, Afghans, and others who were arrested yesterday for this matter in Greece and Italy! If these sorry Islamist ways embarrass you, then stop resorting to them (like you treat women and children in the whole Middle East, but I guess Amnesty International and the European Parliament are "trolls" too)...when we expose you for your barbaric, uncultured way...well, truth hurts! LOL
@IcePonyGoddess Thank you for your comments. The original video was intended for family and friends who knew about our circumstances. I respect your rights to have your opinions totally, however I have updated the description to provide more information and cater for an international audience.

@IcePonyGoddess As you were'nt there and don't know what the circumstances were your comment is harsh and insensitive too. This family did find a loving home for their dog and quite rightly believed they had spared the dog from the trauma of 6 months quarantine. From what we see and read here they didn't spare any expense when it came to getting her relocated back to the UK either. A quick peek into your nearest animal recue will show you what 'dumped dogs' are all about.
I'm actually a member of the animal welfare organization that rescued Holly, and a close friend of the kind lady that fostered her for 6 months, and met Holly many times.
One thing that was not mentioned in the video description is that Holly was rescued JUST 30 MINUTES before she was about to be euthanized by the local municipality!! And then the way she was found again by her original owner all the way from the UK is a true miracle :-)
Big mistake watching this in the office...... bless her heart. What a beautiful video! As a dog owner myself I'd be sobbing in the corner if this ever happened to me.
@IcePonyGoddess : you cannot bring a dog into England for 6 months after a Rabies shot, as the blood test needs to be clear. It was not their dog, it was abandoned by another family. I hope this clarifys this for you ?
Crying so much. My 9 year old daughter is looking at me like I'm mental but I don't care. I love my dog so much so anything like this, makes me cry. So pleased for Holly, Alyssa and her family.
Aww sweet Alyssa, bless your heart, your tears of joy made me cry too! I'm so glad Holly was reunited with you and your family! Way to go Mom and Dad! May you have many years of love and companionship with your Holly! And to others, please don't judge this family's decision as you don't know the circumstances. What counts is the happy ending and the joy in that little girl's heart.
This made me cry so much! We just paid around £2000 ourselves to take our dog with us to Australia even though she is 12 now i just couldn't face leaving her behind.
I saw this on BBC News and just had to comment on this very moving famiy reunited with doggy moment. Well done parents of Alyssa, she will always remember what you did, and lots of family doggy happiness to you all.
@staranisee is right. if you adopt a dog, you should commit to the dog until the end of their life. you should not abandon the dog or cat just because you're moving. the same way they manage to get the dog to britain this time, they should have done it the first time. this had a happy ending, but most of the time abandon stories don't.
@JennaGlatzer they thought they had left the dog in safe hands when they left dubai. Adoption is often preferable because to bring a dog into the UK requires 6 months in quarantine (we don't have rabies here and take great steps to keep it that way). 6 months is a long time for a dog to be away from its owners so many people choose to find a nice home locally instead. However the family that adopted her either abandoned her, or she got herself lost.
"When one time it receives it stops as a family such as the circumstance which does not stop it cannot consider, Why you released! Don't you think? is just that"
Obviously I do not know their circumstances but as the owner of 6 rescue dogs (most who were in danger of being pts) I would never leave part of my family behind. Glad there was a happy ending though.
@staraniseee You can't just bring a pet over from another country, they have to be vaccinated and kept in quarantine before they can be brought over. Do your research before making such a retarded comment.
Oh my gosh! I almost cried as well after reading the video description. If this happens to my dog I will do everything I can do bring it back! I won't let it be put down.

From the description ...it was their dog. They lived in Dubai, then moved to the UK, left the dog there. Put up for adoption.
The dog was then adopted by another family, they abandoned her.
Read the description!
IMHO...they never should have dumped Holly in Dubai. What are they teaching their daughter? It's okay to dump your dog when you move?
I am glad they took the time to get Holly back, but she never should have been dumped!

Awwww she was SO close to being put-down? Really?
Oh my gosh! I almost cried as well after reading the video description. If this happens to my dog I will do everything I can do bring it back! I won't let it be put down.
