Stone's no artist but a propagandist. There's no art in simply telling people what to believe in a story less subtle than a porn film. Sure, the guy's made a few good movies but art asks questions not dictates answers. He must get it from his fascist dictator heroes. But why make a film when shouting his stupid opinions via megaphone is just as subtle. Hell at least Cameron knew enough to change the "Indian" or "Iraqi" to "Na'vi" & paint them blue before making his ultra-leftist propaganda film

The fascists in South America are not the left-wing leaders Stone profiles in the film. The fascists in South America were leaders supported by the United States for decades. People like Augusto Pinochet (put in power by a CIA-inspired coups) or Alfredo Stroessner of Paraguay, beneficiary of Operation Condor. Both men killed & tortured 1000s. You see, fascism is an inherently right-wing political philosophy.

I had a really hard time to follow him and if it would not have been for books I read about this very topic I probably wouldn't have understood a word of what he was saying..

However I look forward to the movie. And I think people should see it. What happened and still happens in Latin America is not known well enough.

Hugo Chavez is a tin-pot dictator of the old-school. Even if his political enemies are deplorable, that does not make Chavez's actions any more defensible. He has underminded election results where his supporters have lost, broken contracts, devalued his currency, weakened civil society, tries to destabilize his neighbors, and has arrested opponents and shut down opposition media. All of the populist measures he has inacted cannot overcome these deficits of leadership and credibility.

@tqrules My god you sooo wrong. I live in Venezuela and Chavez is part of US interests. He has double speech. He takes privete companies from owners, and in a few months they don´t produce any goods. His people buy food that is due in a short period of time, they get a discount and they keep it. We have found 150 thousand of tons of food that is not longer good for consumption. Education has decreased in quality, inflation is aprox 30% per year, and crime is really high. This is shit. Believe m
