For some stupid reason as a kid..i tried going down the stairs on all fours-wanted to know why our ddog had such a hard time using them as a pup, it's harder than it looks, i almost broke my face. Of course, humans aren't built for such a thing, But still! I was a courious dumb little kid. -_-
Beautiful pup and amazing name! did you have the choice to do the dock or was it done before your input?-I'm pro choice(but would C&D a Dobie if I owned one)
awesome dobe , those poeple who are scared of dogs hurting themself going down stairs, you should go buy a poodle or something then if ur treat it like a lil princess what is their 4-5 steps max in this video , you think you know it all and you look like a retard now
Hahaha, this video caught my eye because my doberman is going through the same thing right now. He can climb up the stairs but not down at this point. Adorable doberman by the way.
@Elohimlee....you realy need to go outside and get some fresh air..you are beyond crazy...btw, any reply from you to me will get ignored..youre not worth it...
OMG someone put a cute video of this puppy and you guys are destroying it by arguing over your beliefes..let me be the first to say NICE VIDEO! Its not like shes beating her dog on youtube..
@ElohimLee ".puppies are like children, would you place a child at the top of a set of steps and say come on, come you can do it?"
No, but then I also wouldn't feed my child dog food and let it shit on the grass. Children and puppies are completely different. The owner was clearly there to help the dog if anything were to go wrong. Get the fuck off your high horse and stop being so goddamn dramatic.
@ElohimLee She isn't being irresponsible. Those steps are tiny. I've seen puppies roll down hills and children fall and get right back up and continue on with what they are doing. I think you're being over protective. Probably one of those parents that doesn't let their child do anything so they become allergic to everything and scared of everything and die if they eat a peanut. I'd let my kids eat their own boogers and build an immune system. meanwhile by being over protective, you kill yours.
@ElohimLee I was talking about you! You are worse than PETA. The dog isn't in any physical distress and she was right there to catch her if she fell. You're just like every other retard on youtube who thinks they are the tzar of right when it comes to animals, and EVERY video on youtube is animal abuse. I agree you shouldn't have an animal if you can't care for it. But you're ridiculous. By calling her over she is coaxing her to TRY the stairs not attempting to make the pup fall to her death.
I never said anything but my puppy was afraid of the stairs. I didnt force her to. I just left her upstairs when I went to the basement with the lights on and the door open. I made all kinds of activity noises and she figured out how to come down to me when she was ready. She had to self learn that the stairs are safe.
Nooo you helped?? Oh boy! Did you end up with an adult doberman that was still scared to go down the stairs and expected to be "helped" down them? I've seen that happen to alot of dogs. As puppies, people carry them down and then when they grow to be an adult (in some cases 150 pounds) they still expect to be carried down the stairs.
LOL! I had the opposite problem with my Chihuahua, Lily, when she was a baby. One of the first things that interested her when we brought her home was the stairs. She scared me to death! She was going to climb up and down them or die!
If this wasn't four years old I would tell you to coax him down the stairs, helping him down one step at a time. I am sure he has grown out of this by now though.
my aunt had a sharpei that could jump on the couch but had noooo clue how to get down it was funny and they even had another dog that would just jump up and down up and down like "haha i can jump and you cant!" this was cute and no its not crule, if it were crule you would have pushed him down the stairs :P but hes just a puppy children cry and cry when they can't do something and parents find it funny, but they eventually learn how to do it , but its not cruelty to a child.
Human children and dogs are two different species, the definition of this is difference in the genome, and therefore different characteristics: Including the way their mind works - e.g. the ability to rationalize.

Its cute to us, but it is incredibly stressful for the dog; being separated from its pack members is a terrifying experience for any puppy. He's very cute but please please please think of the pup before putting him under intense pressure before making another video like this.
I advise if your having trouble with stairs to use a treat to lure the nose up the stairs one step at a time; and definitely when he's bigger, otherwise its very dangerous and he can fall.
Love your dog, treat him well.

Very cute! I'm looking for a nice doberman to buy. I've wanted one for sooo long. I looked at some the other day, but their owner was keeping them in bad condition and all of them were dirty with fleas and looked sick.
