/A full audit would show exactly what is going on. The problem is that current law gives a list of things that the FED can keep secret from any audit. For instance loans to foreign banks is on the list among other things. Congress doesn't even have the authority to request that info under current law. That's what Ron Paul's audit the Fed bill is all about. He wants to repeal that list so that a FULL audit can finally be conducted.

The only way Ron Paul is going to win the nomination, i hate to say it, is with money I dont have much, but i just went to his YouTube Channel, (the "RonPaul" channel) clicked "donate now" and donated $25.00. Sorry for the typo, beautiful. In my opinion first 47 minutes are not worth the time to watch unless you are interested in procedural nits. From 47 min to about 1:09 is the gist of what is known that has occured in the past. The Q and A session afterward for Auerbach and Calabria also speaks of some specific instances of abuse by the Fed, some of which were, to me anyway, amazingly arrogant and downright dishonest.

It was interesting to note how the FED by keeping interest rates low forced people to invest their hard earned money in the stock market. When there was a boom or a bubble forming everyone thought they were getting rich but much of it was a result of an increase in the money supply created by the FED. @TheAntiV What is being said about the FED is not a conspiracy theory. It is fact. Almost anybody can tell you that. Look back in American history. This current FED is almost 100 years old. Before that though there was another and it was doing the same thing as the current FED and the president then destroyed it and brought the country back to economic stability. People complain about corporations running america. The FED is a private company illegally running our economy.
The US only saw three major banking crises after the establishment of the Fed (Great Depression, S&L crisis, 2008 financial crisis) and only two since the creation of federal deposit insurance compared to one about every decade prior to that. The business cycle has also seen shorter and smaller contractions.
The biggest flaw with the free banking proponents is they either are ignorant or ignore the many problems seen in the Free Banking Era of the US.
The first problem was that during this era banks issued bank notes based on the gold and silver in their vaults effectively printing money. Since these bank notes could only be redeemed at face value at the bank that issued them the result was the actual value of the note decreasing the further from the bank it got. Then there was the issue if the bank failed these bank notes became worthless. This made any form of long distance commerce difficult if not impossible.
The second problem was since the laws were set up by the individual states there was no consistency with regard to reserve requirements, interest rates for loans and deposits, capital ratios, or anything else. Worse enforcement of what laws there were was highly variable within a state. This resulted in some states what was later called wildcat banking where the bank notes were not backed by precious metal at all but by mortgages or bonds.

Hi, he just did another cut at it. You can see the hearing if you youtube search Ron Paul's Audit the Fed Hearing, The early stuff is mostly procedural and pretty boring (to me anyway), but from about 0:47 to about 1:09 is very interesting, with many good reveals, and the Q and A session that follows, if you have the time and patience, also has some interesting info. Worth the time for folks who actually want to debate the fed (found a few) instead of just scream nonsense at you.

The only way Ron Paul is going to win the nomination, i hate to say it, is with money I dont have much, but i just went to his YouTube Channel, (the "RonPaul" channel) clicked "donate now" and donated $25.00. It isn't much, but it all adds up. I put in my Pay pal info (they also take CC) and literally, in 2 minutes it was done. We all love him and need him, but he needs our money. So if you can sacrifice just a few bucks, please do.

Sorry for the typo, beautiful. In my opinion first 47 minutes are not worth the time to watch unless you are interested in procedural nits. From 47 min to about 1:09 is the gist of what is known that has occured in the past. The Q and A session afterward for Auerbach and Calabria also speaks of some specific instances of abuse by the Fed, some of which were, to me anyway, amazingly arrogant and downright dishonest.

It was interesting to note how the FED by keeping interest rates low forced people to invest their hard earned money in the stock market. When there was a boom or a bubble forming everyone thought they were getting rich but much of it was a result of an increase in the money supply created by the FED. Then the bust or bubble bursts and there goes the hard earned money. We have been pawns and the players have been hiding their tricks behind closed doors. It is time to shine the light on them.

Before that though there was another and it was doing the same thing as the current FED and the president then destroyed it and brought the country back to economic stability. The US only saw three major banking crises after the establishment of the Fed (Great Depression, S&L crisis, 2008 financial crisis) and only two since the creation of federal deposit insurance compared to one about every decade prior to that. The business cycle has also seen shorter and smaller contractions.
The biggest flaw with the free banking proponents is they either are ignorant or ignore the many problems seen in the Free Banking Era of the US.

The first problem was that during this era banks issued bank notes based on the gold and silver in their vaults effectively printing money. Since these bank notes could only be redeemed at face value at the bank that issued them the result was the actual value of the note decreasing the further from the bank it got. Then there was the issue if the bank failed these bank notes became worthless. This made any form of long distance commerce difficult if not impossible.

The second problem was since the laws were set up by the individual states there was no consistency with regard to reserve requirements, interest rates for loans and deposits, capital ratios, or anything else. Worse enforcement of what laws there were was highly variable within a state. This resulted in some states what was later called wildcat banking where the bank notes were not backed by precious metal at all but by mortgages or bonds.

Trying to fight the Fed and DC directly won't work. They have all the money and power. They have totally disconnected from the democratic system.
