Loosen it, be careful because it is sharp, then pull up on the blade, I usually put a screwdriver under the lock to get it to engage. Remember to always tighten a knife when its open and in the lock position to avoid tightening a knife with the linerlock behind the blade. If you can't fix this email me the order date and name on the Order and I'll take care of it for you, JB>
I did Order it from you, ill fix it asap but see ill try to make it clear, lets say that ur looking at your knife on an angle u can see the liner lock, well the very bottom of the blade (were the liner lock touches) , well, the liner lock is imbetween the bottom of the knife blade and the side of the knife to the right, so it would but opposite from when the knife ISNT locked, do u get it? So i cant pry it out from its "stuck" position and thats about it, its quite tricky.
Yes, this does occur with the blade is to loose and the blade has to much play and rocks passed the lock to trap it behind the blade, then the common mistake it to tighten the knife up but trapping the lock. You have to get the lock on the correct side before tightening the pivot screw.
no, i bought this model it says schrade extreme survival on the blade, and is in a schrade box, the liner lock is like 'stuck' so it wont close, ive only had the knife for like an hour and a bit it came this morning.
No, i bought this model it says schrade extreme survival and is in a schrade box etc. ive had it for like 1 hour by the way, i think the liner lock thing is "stuck" so i cant close it.
This knife closes fine, if the spring tension has loosened it will not stay shut as any spring assisted knife will do. Knife maintenance is a must. Oil the pivot screw and set the pivot screw to the desired tension. Schrade makes very high quality items, I am almost certain you bought a K-9 clone not this model.
