  • nice idea to be mobile

  • He's hot.

  • aika hyvin teit ton videon missä muuten olit tollon tos ulkona ja hyvin muuten teet noita esittelyitä noista kaikista tietokoneista ja kännyköistä ja muista koneista :D !

  • nice video, you are the coolest guy.

  • Man, you are still the coolest guy in the fucking universe!

  • OMG! I've never seen your face in your videos, but now seeing your face you look a lot younger than I thought. I love your videos, if it weren't for you I would have never bought my Asus EEE PC Netbook. well... be mobile and have a nice day, jkk.

  • thanks for the review, but i'm just buying an eeepx model S101 :))

    bye

    Marco

  • You must be one of the coolest guys that there is, was or ever will be. You are one of the coolest guys in the universe!

  • Creepy is maybe not a large enough word to describe you.

  • excellent vid :)

  • HEY! Nice to meet you! First time I see your face behind that unique voice/accent. You look much better than I had imagined :)

  • Keep up those reviews, they'll prove pretty useful in my choice of a future netbook :)

  • Nice Video, i like the Website and Livesessions. Great Job JKK :-)

  • jkkmobile was the reason I bought the ASUS 1000HA - great reviews and touch screen mod, which I will be doing as soon as I can get the kit.

  • Same here.. I love JKK, very curious how you can afford to do this JKK, do site ads really bring a decent amount in to help cover the costs??

  • Yeah I bought the EEE901 because of his review too.

  • nice background.

  • nice video man..

  • Sure, but the 'my wife will kill me if I waste money on a second touchscreen kit' element is more scary than soldering. Unreasonable, women can be at times. I've got piles of saved stuff about the various wiring options, from your site and forums and other blogs. Just have to buckle down and study the options again then take the plunge.

Oh, and I have the solderless one by mistake; TopTouchScreen mis-labeled the item on eBay. Nice screen though, good parts, so I'll use it.

  • I've greatly enjoyed your blog postings and videos jkk, and these were crucial in my choice of the Asus 901 for my personal and business use. I know it's not your favourite netbook, but your balanced reporting of all these devices provide ample information for users to make informed decisions, not biased fanboi nonsense, and it is appreciated by many.

Now... if only I can work up the confidence to install my TopTouchScreen... it's still a bit scary soldering the thing when it's my main PC.

  • Thanks!

There are also solderless touch kits for 901.. maybe that would be less scary?

  • gerard,

I removed my Touchscreen installation after 2 days usage. Couple of things:

1> The 901 would crash or switch off randomly. Possibly down the the adapter module overheating

2> The display was a little grey-looking and harder to see in bright light

3> The touch-screen was a really tight fit and my casing kept popping open at the side of the screen

With all of the above I felt it was not worth modding in the end

    This was a solder-less option

  • This is where you are?

  • Well.. the harbor I filmed is near my home here in Helsinki Finland...

.. but some times I'm somewhere else in EU, USA or Asia..

  • Lucky ...

  • JKK,

do you plan to feature more mobile phones?

I think they are now becoming as good as desktops/Laptops/Netbooks in terms of functionality

My wish-list of a phone would be:

    Keyboard , GPS , Java

A WinXP-Based phone would offer true flexibility

  • Yes, I will feature smart phones soon too..

.. I'm looking for new one for myself so testing is needed anyway so why not show it here on video.

  • I love the confident pointing at the camera at the end! =D

  • you rock i love these videos :D

  • Wow bro u the best. Nice setup by the way ;-)

  • Do you think Asus will adopt Ion for its netbooks by the end of the year?

  • I talked about this with Asus USA guys at Computex..

.. They said they don't think most ppl need ION or any other dedicated graphics on netbooks.

.. So it indicated they are not doing it.

  • It would be VERY cool to have a netbook that could play games like Call Of Duty 4, Fear and Crysis though...

  • cool. I'm a big fan of the meet mobile podcast and I love your videos as well.

  • Thanks!

  • Which country are you from?

  • From Finland

  • great website and youtube channel

  • Thanks!

  • very welcome

  • First!!!!!

  • Nope, second..

  • What antivirus and firewall you use in your notebooks?

  • gentoo

  • I don't use any... I have good experience on AVG..
