@EriahSylverstone from what I can see the military tried to stop these virus by:Nuke,Quanrentine, airstrikes,Gunships since the building are on fire. This means they lost the whole city and half of military.

According to Tapes and Notes in Lab of the Dead (2nd game from Evil-Dog take place in the same event as this game) The Nuke dosen't work. They even survived the high amount of radiation in the blast zone.

@madnesshank1 It's stupid. AT the beginning of the game the military saws (while driving) that you could be infected or dead. And they know your driving. "Oh look! A dead guy driving! That makes PERFECT sense!"
