Skarmory's Friend Area is Ravaged Field. Lolz, I had to look in my Strategy Guide to realise that XD. Also, your partner goes to it's Friend Area to sleep, but I think it should stay in the rescue team base with the main character lol.

He is. There is major hinting of it the the Murky Cave special mission. :)

How to unlock event: After the main storyline, you have to both complete Stormy Sea and rescue Medicham (the one on Gengar's team) from Wish Cave. Once these criteria are fulfilled, the event will begin. You will first have to go through Mt. Freeze with Gengar before you can access Murky Cave.
