  • Infinite replay ENGAGE!

    this made me very happy

  • well now it makes sense... with the subtitles, not!

  • Let's freeze that goat... Brilliant!

  • Brilliant. :) I see someone 's gotten to this already. I had started working on it. I like another version I saw: "I eyes my senseless. And it doesn't go with pizza. Eyes!"

  • The best one is the other version

  • It's not "HOLD SOMETHING!" it's "POKE SOMETHING!" duhhh...

  • It's freezing cold and I'm dancing my shoes off. Alright?

  • This sounds American oll raight!.

  • Simpatiche noi Italiani!

  • I am Italian/American and my people are awesome. Pure style.

  • Gettin MY colored balls died for sure

  • Please, don't call the National Twosome!! Alright??

  • Oh My Goodness... You destroyed my hero!!! Come on! How comes that Freezing cold and excellent choose hole sounds better than Prisencolinensinainciusol?

An Italian would think that way!

  • Stupid to subtitle.

Also. Whilst I love this thing, it would never sound like English to a British person. It sounds Italian.

  • @bastardfingers That's cuz it's supposed to sound like American English, not British English.

  • May your goat be forever frozen and thus preserved for all time as a classic!

    Love it and love Adriano.

  • and so was the rap borning :)

  • just rafaella.....the rest..is useless

  • I LOOOOOOOOOVE IT !!!!!!

    RAFFAELLA CARRA IS JUST AWESOME.........

    TI AMO RAFFAELLA

  • 0:22 example of bi-winning form of dancing.

  • "Whether's the same rights you would call me a steam" --- PERFECT translation!

  • If this is rap, Beethoven is pop.

  • It's pointless to subtitle a song that is meant to be gibberish. Celentano said the song is about modern people's inability to communicate.

Of course, the influence of American English is also crucial. The lyrics sound like English, but are not.

  • @Narwal88 I kind of see a point. Since I speak English, I can tell this is gibberish. But the fact that it sounds like individual and random English words is what's awesome. The subtitles show you that everything he says really would sound like perfect English to an non-speaker, because the words are right there in front of you. That's what I think.

  • Hahaha omg. @Toberoni you make me laugh. It's not English he's speaking but your translation almost had me pissing myself.

  • LETS FREEZE THE GOAT!! best idea EVER!!

  • I like when he talks to the mirror. The man has talent

  • so apparently prisencolinensinaincuisol was meaning "Universal love" according to the teacher in the video.

  • "My eyes smile senseless and we got some golden diesel, all right"

    talking about USA right there

  • Dang! English sounds great!!!!

  • Whole lotta hot beat the say the say the say

  • In italy in this period you were a kind of god if you could speak some english, this is a sort of ironic song, the words sounds english but they aren't

  • 3:03 headbanging in 1974!

  • Ehi Toberoni sei davvero un grande. Credevo Fossero tutte parole inventate!

  • WOW! I learned so dang much today! OLL RAIGTH!!!

  • whomever put those lyrics as a translation is just great coz in italy eceryone always knew this songs mean nothing

  • @piermarty "nobody understand what the say"

    You got that right!

  • Comment removed

  • even now this sounds like a chart topper! love it! My mum showed me this about 6 weeks ago and I keep coming back to it

  • I hate it when he does that 'ok' sign with his hand and has that goofy ass smile...

I like this song though lol.

  • Let's freeze that goat.

  • let's freeze the goat ahahahaahahah

  • I'll tell you who really imitated this style, beat & delivery: Blondie in Rapture.

  • Great Song. The true meaning is explained in the original classroom scene (which is shortened here). The song is about the fact that people talk but do not communicate with eachother/dont understand eachother.

    Regardless: Grea lyrics

  • Kudos for the lyrics! Let's freeze that goat!

  • Fuck it, I'm calling the National Twosome.

  • non ha mai avuto un testo o delle parole vere, come più volte detto da caentano. è una canzone che prende spunto dall'incomunicabilità del mondo ed il suo significato è ''amore universale''

  • Celentano is the number oneee!!!!!!

  • ahahaha grande toberoni! "comprehensible English"

  • this lyrics can be easily a song wrote from Beck!!! ahahahah

  • Golden diesel must be expensive.

  • Let's freeze that goat

  • This is what some of my friends sound like after a few too many drinks. I love this song!

  • x'D this is the best ... Now I can finaly sing along

  • she let them peep me hole :') this made me laugh soooo much <3

  • Let's freeze that goat!!

  • Toberoni, I followed the link where you mention that you created sub-text for the lyrics. Thanks you for my laugh of the morning! I've been somewhat fascinated by this for a while beginning when I searched for examples of how other's perceived the english language. The video is pure eyecandy; completely catchy! You lyrics, however, are absolutely hilarious!!!

  • Hold something!

  • @CarbonatedCube Best advice ever.

  • 9 people called the National Twosome despite explicit instructions to the contrary.

  • @zionravescene Oh I get it now LOL. I was like, I don't get this.

  • Ma perche gli inglesi devono sempre cercar una spiegazione ..... ahahahahah

  • As horrible as the dancing is in this video, its still better than what is considered "dancing" today to some people in media..

  • You does, you not feels, you get out of my door.

  • fantasticcccccccccccccccccccccccc

  • you are crazy....Celentano didn't write th song in english.

  • Even more entertaining with the 'fake' lyrics.

Come on guys, let's freeze the goat!

  • "Lets freeze that goat" haha! excellent!

  • The saddest thing is, THIS DAMN SONG IS SOOOO FUCKING CATCHY. .__.

  • wait,how is this comedy??its a song

  • let's freeze the goat lol

  • Please don't call the National Twosome

    lol

  • Well, now, this makes more sense. Only now, I can hear he has a very heavy accent!

  • Adriano Celentano nailed it! He did fantastic!

  • definitely golden diesel =eyes=

  • Bene, ora è (quasi) tutto più chiaro. ;)

Well, it's almost everything clear now.

  • How do you make your shoes a van?

I wonder if I can make it a toyota matrix instead...

  • @SCRulerShinoda By Jammin' in the stem!

  • @Toberoni Would the van be fueled by the golden diesel? lol

  • @SCRulerShinoda Yup!

  • @SCRulerShinoda I would rather make them a mercedes

  • lol so good to watch, love the subtitles

  • dis is senzaisshional !!!

    bat de song is okei

    vravo xelentano !!!!!!!!!!!

  • @fingo92 yeah fack them ap the batt

  • 2:10 let's free that goat lol

  • Catchy tune. Crazy words

  • It sounds "American" to me. I can hear the vowels and consonants, but they are all mixed up and it doesn't make sense. It's like listening to Bob Dylan.

  • @sanlorenzo21 WTF??? the roots of modern RAP is from the 60's and sugarhill gang hs nothing to do with the invention of RAP!!! Hip hop /rap started about 1973 but rapping is way older

  • @sanlorenzo21 Evert Taube was even earlier - search for "Muren och Böckerna".

  • @sanlorenzo21 Sorry about that, try "Evert Taube - Kinesiska Muren" instead.

  • @sanlorenzo21 It was first released as a single on November 3, 1972

  • sorry Louis Jordan was rapping in 4 the 0's.

  • I prefer my choose holes at body temperature

  • excellent choose hole indeed. I <3 "the Blonde"

  • So was this song responsible for a rash of goat freezings throughout Italy during the 70's?

  • @Mydinsky That's when they invented the notorious 'goat-popsicle'.

  • I don't think it's a good idea to call Dave a 'le Jam'...

  • @ANGRYCATATTAX I know, I know. Dave doesn't like it at all. There be trouble...

  • So THIS is what english sounds like to italians xD

  • Celentano fucking MITO...

  • let's freeze that goat...ahuahauhahau

  • Absolutely brilliant. Final confirmation that I have been singing the right words for forty years.

  • @itsameale Thank you for so eloquently participating in the discussion.

  • @Toberoni im talking to u dip shit

  • @itsameale Again a deep and thoughtful analysis. I am humbled by your gift of gab.

  • W.T.F.

  • "get the colored balls died"

  • This is fucking beautiful. I pretty much just cried with laughter.

  • LOL italians toght that this song was in English for 5 years!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!1

  • This song is actually in Italian faux-English. Basically, an Italian interpretation of what English sounds like.

Kind of like Peter's "Italian" in that episode of Family Guy. "Boppity boopie?" Only in reverse.

  • This was a big hit in discos (nightclubs) around the northwest in '74 thanks for posting the non-lyrics i had a good laugh.

  • I want to dance like this cx

  • I wanna bang the singer chick.

  • So.. what language is this anyway?

  • @Sonneshine2323 Prisencolinensinainciusol don't use a language, the words are completely invented.

  • Why would you call Dave a le Jam? Seriously, that's just asking for trouble.

  • Melvins should do a cover of this.

  • @BitchinnShoes07

that's a good advice, why did you think about them ?

  • @Neurodisco77 because this type of songwriting is king buzzo's specialty.

  • compare these subtitles: watch?v=Wz04IBZqfFE

  • And you guys are growing basil.

  • Whoever wrote down the subtitles is a genius!!!!!!!

  • Wow, this is the best song Bob Dylan ever wrote!

  • @Oceanmachine27 Lol they are as comprehensible as Bob Dylan lyrics.

  • I want to remix this

  • It's supposed to be English.... Kinda cute actually. He thinks he's speaking English! Lol.

  • @ediblehair - It was done on purpose. Obviously what he did went right over your head.

  • If Animal Collective songs were performed by David Bowie. And Madonna produced the video

  • LOL @ how this is actually decipherable despite the fact that it's supposed to sound the way American English does no a non-anglophone.

    *freezes goat*

  • to*

  • "hold something!" Excellent translation, makes perfect sense to me!

  • Absolutely top shelf product here. Indisputable win.

  • lol! this is classic!

  • my god! the subtitles match the singing!!

  • Let's freeze that goat!

    :D

  • You sir are a genius.

My hat off and my goat frozen for you.

  • più o meno sei riuscito a mettere insieme un testo quasi valido

  • Haha I love how you translate "Prisencolinensinainciusol" into different English words every time they say it.

Not feeling "golden diesel" though - it's definitely "growin' basil".

  • English is the language of FUNK!!

  • i am 11Y/O and what is this?

  • @CrowJam old italian song from the 74. It is pratically a joke: since almost no one understood english back at then the singer adriano celentano created this song which sounded like a foreign hits. It's how english sounded to italians fourty years ago. =)

  • @BloodyHateGirl well this explains everything! thanks

  • @CrowJam this was an italian song imitating how english sounds to them

  • ...what the flux am i watching?

  • Can't decide if this is Dylanesque or ABBAesque.

  • @vonHummer I'm leaning more towards Dylan.

  • it's called "Doublespeak"

  • excellent work mr translator.

  • PLEASE DON'T CALL A NATIONAL TWOSOME

  • This is what all English music sounds like to me. I can't understand what they're saying at all in real songs and I don't enjoy it at all.

But this? This is humorous to me. When you take a head phone out and put it in my ear this is what I hear, gibberish. Just nonsensical words with a few of the words sounding like English.

  • @Anonymous7349 You're typing in English sir or madam...

  • @andavenport

No really? You must be a fucking genius to notice that!

Just because I understand English doesn't mean I can understand the nonsensical gibberish you guys spew out in your music.

  • is this the correct lyrics?

  • @xXxSkiLarxXx Yes. He is actually saying things like : 'Let's freeze that goat', 'let my shoes become a van' and 'Call the two rainy girls!'

  • @Toberoni its slightly off. where it says freezing colkd and exellenct choose hole,. it says 'Prisencolinensinainciusol'

  • @rubytuesday2626

    WE KNOW THIS.

    These aren't actual lyrics.

  • @Toberoni It makes as much sense as, "Dog food stalls with the beefcake pantyhose."

  • @iamjacksusername Beck's greatest hit!

  • @xXxSkiLarxXx Celentano wrote it as gibberish on purpose...it was never meant to be any "real" language. Very funny "translation" though! XD
