Ironically Mossadeq is now considered a moderate, at the time, the West was saying he was a "secret Communist" because he nationalized the oil industry. pbehmand, 1st, if 1951 nationalization had not been overthrown obviously oil would have been sold more expensive if iran owned its own oil than if western oil comp. own/control it. show me ONE accredited source that says otherwise. 2nd, opec was formed in 1960 [so they had no effect or anything to say from 1951 to 1960. 3rd, the second oil shock happened just after he was kicked out. hehe very funny isn't it ?
