@jordan484 Try an emulator like Mame32 I still use MamePPK occasionally even though I don't really play online, you'll be looking for zip files called 'roms' to play the games. If you own an Xbox 360 I think you can get it legitimatey through Xbox Live. Happy hunting!

I'm glad to know the slow down in this game isn't just me, I think I remember the arcade machine stuttering like this too.

@jordan484 It's an emulator for arcade games so you can play them through your PC if it's half decent enough. Do some googling on the words 'Mame32' 'Roms'. You'll have to invest a bit of time getting to grips with even the windows version perhaps, but if you're of the age when you used to play arcade games as a kid it might be worth it. Try MamePPK 119 for a start, a lot of the roms you'll find about will work with this version. Like I said, I think you can get the game through Xbox Live Arcade

I always loved how much of a cool dude the thug at 3:31 is. Throwing your dynamite and strutting up to it, only to get blown up by it. That takes really class. This level has some of my favorite music in the entire game, and it's nice to hear it arcade-style for the first time :)

The graphics are not as good, and the game play is different. The baddies follow

you around like flies round shit, and it's too fast.

It's better than the NES version though.

@Deathknight50000 Seek out "Double Dragon Advance" for the GBA. It is the version of Double Dragon you are seeking. It is a remake of the classic game with 8 missions, all moves from the first 2 arcade games, can handle lots of people on screen and only slightly updated graphics.

I loved the video arcade days. Nowadays it's all slot machines and some not so great driving games. Japan still have smokey arcades with all these classic games in them, not just for retro reasons but because the whole experience was fun. Nothing like hooking up with total stranger to play DD, Final Fight or even a friendly round of Streetfighter II because you never knew how good or bad your opponant was! I love having the games at home but I'd probably pay again to have the arcade experience!
