I love jump blues. Its interesting how it evolved from boogie woogie piano, with the guitar and brass replacing the right hand and bass guitar the left. Add some swing/jazz percussion.
Jump Blues, the daddy of rock and roll.
You do it perfectly , that was a joy ot hear...thank you.
@joriszsz ....Impossible to answer really - 1950 is too early for either anyway.During the whole period more records have probably been made with Teles than Les Paul Jnrs and it is likely that more pro players played Telecasters. The Tele is a bit more versatile and it might be my choice but I do love a Junior.
hey what don't you make some guitar vid lessons and start making some cash long with some jam tracks and offer some lesson with students.. they can come to your house or you go to theirs...advertise well and you'll make some cash.. heck I'll buy some of your vids....
do you know where I can get them? If not, would you make some copies for me-I'll pay you for them. I have been all over the net and the tracks that they currently offer are cheesy and bad quality.I would gladly pay for cd's and your time. Thanks
Thanks for the reply Paul. I thought maybe you could download them on PC and then burn a disc for me.Thanks for the timely replies your tone/chops are great!
hi paul thought i'd check out your back catalogue and i guess this was your first.I love LP juniors and remember when they were quite cheap, wish i.d bought half a dozen Lol.
Oh don't.All the money I've wasted on things I've forgotten-I could have a dozen of these or a couple of mid '50s Stratocasters.lol.Thanks very much as always.
That LP jr sounds killer in your hands my friend. You got a little F king jump blues going here. It only says that in the title but hey. Stating the obvious can be fun.
Paul, when this Jump finally got off the ground, it had a bounce that didn't quit!
I absolutely love it. My only experience of Blues guitar has been when a favorite player of Jazz standards (Freddy & Vic chief among them)takes the occasional detour into these rippling waters. So enjoying your repertoire,
not to mention your repartee, has been a nice
intro to the form. Will now cherchez Freddy King to see how he inspired this gem from you!
P.S. Ohhhh, *that* Freddy King! Of course even I know HIM! Sweet Home Chicago! BTW, Paul, was this your inaugural YT posting? A high water mark indeed! Cheers, ~Terry

Nice playing!
Can I ask you what you think is the "best" guitar for like anything from like 50 to like 70, a Telecaster or a Les Paul Jr.?
joriszsz 6 months ago
@joriszsz ...Thank you.I'm sorry I don't understand your question."Like 50 to like 70" what? Both guitars can be great
fendermac 6 months ago
@fendermac oh, sorry, my question wasn't very well written... I meant for music from around 1950 to around 1970...

The 1962 Stratocaster which I've had since 1969 is my favourite although now the '56 relic is probably more consistent to play
