Most Christians understand the Athiest arguments for why they don't believe in God but they can never accept that position because it would mean denying the personal connection with God that they've experienced.
Christians explain that intellectual investigation isn't how you make that connection but Atheists prefer to do what they know doesn't work, so that they can continue to tell Christians the reasons why there is no God!
oh and muslims believe that all the people will go to hell but the muslims .. christians think the same .. in islam there are between 70-80 different sections and they all disagree with one another and they all think the others go to hell ... guys hell and heaven are on earth .. and if you are hoping to get 70 virgins keep dreaming because when you die you will have no penis....

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful. I don't follow religion. I study and follow history and science which are all through the scriptures if you get a good translation and actually study it.

lol, i was never an atheist, i always knew there was a God, He proved himself to me many times. I just never knew which religion was correct, if any could be truly correct. Darwin was wrong on a lot of different levels, in his theories.... all of us christian know that you can not convince a non christian that hell exists, only Christians fear hell....
Why is it, then, that god would prove himself to you and not to others? Assuming that god existed, he could appear to everyone on the planet, simultaneously (by definition, he is omnipotent), and in doing so prove his existence once and for all. Why would god want his existence to be disputed? I find it suspicious that, apparently, god only appears to a limited number individuals behind closed doors, and there is never a shred of viable evidence to prove that it really happened.
Ooh, that mixing evolution, abiogensis, the big bang, star formation, etc. etc. always works! Nothing better than showing people you don't have a flippin' clue what real science is!
It's probably reasonable to say that the average atheist is more intelligent than the average Christian because as a group they value the intellect more than most people do.

Personally, I've never met someone honestly claiming to have been an atheist once and then having been converted to Christianity. I met a priest once who told a fabulous story of a dying man, a life-long atheist and an abortionist doctor, who repented on the death bed. It was so riddiculous that I doubt any of the 10-year olds he told this story to ever believed him.

Why is it, then, that god would prove himself to you and not to others? Assuming that god existed, he could appear to everyone on the planet, simultaneously (by definition, he is omnipotent), and in doing so prove his existence once and for all. Why would god want his existence to be disputed? I find it suspicious that, apparently, god only appears to a limited number individuals behind closed doors, and there is never a shred of viable evidence to prove that it really happened.

It's probably reasonable to say that the average atheist is more intelligent than the average Christian because as a group they value the intellect more than most people do.
When it comes to having an awareness of God they're at a disadvantage because of their total focus on that one aspect of what it means to be human. Intuiting something isn't really their forte.

Hope that we can read history and learn from it not only reading with out learning.why the church owned that era of time because they were strict to their religion , and why othmaneis after that ruled the worled becuse of islam if you and think a little and once they started to change they fail exactly like the church and most of the strongest nations through out history are started with a religous motive.( sorry my english is not that good ) :)

Personally, I've never met someone honestly claiming to have been an atheist once and then having been converted to Christianity. I met a priest once who told a fabulous story of a dying man, a life-long atheist and an abortionist doctor, who repented on the death bed. It was so riddiculous that I doubt any of the 10-year olds he told this story to ever believed him.

When in need of guidance, because it's human to need help once in a while, some of us seek it in objective sources, such as loved ones and actual real people who have experienced the tribulations we're going through before. So don't assume that just because you find peace in X, others will too.

By the way, there aren't anywhere NEAR 11,000 prophecies in the bible. What prophecies there are require a great deal of intellectual acrobatics to make them work. I already told you, the Bible contains more than 11,000 prophecies .. i will say again, that's 11,000, not 1, not 2, not 200, not even 5,000 .. so when everything came to pass you could know the truth, it's that simple. 25% of the Bible is prophetic for a reason you see - and we are not talking about nostradamus type of prophecies lol. The last stage is being, again, perfectly fulfilled. It never missed, it won't miss. The Bible says and so it happens, that simple really.
