@forbesfoofighters My logic went like this, Rua beat Machida, Jones crushed Rua there for Jones beats Machida? Don't get me wrong, Its great seeing guys like Machida, Silva, Jones and Cung Le in MMA! I dig there application of "unorthodox" striking, more of TMA focus. I was getting tired of the basic, but effective MT/boxing thats been dominant for so long. I'd be rooting for Machida in a match with Jones LOL. @KingDaDude "you really dont know what your talking about" What part? I'm lost! LOL
@JaegerLeMaserati Haha, they want to forget him cause he burst the TMA doesn't work in MMA bubble! What ever doesn't fit in the BJJ/MT/Boxing/wrestling mold is incomprehensible to these guys LOL. Look @ John Jones, he holds no rank in any style, yet he handed shogun his ass on a platter. He won his first UFC fight with 9 months MMA training! watch his fights, he useless all kinds of "unorthadox striking" that drives UFC guys crazy! He'd probably whip Machidas ass cause he's 6'4 with 84.5 reach!
@CFgroup1 being 6"4 and having an 84" wingspan can only carry you so far, jon (not john) jones has only 1 real elite win which is shogun who has never demonstrated a whole lot of cardio or take down defense. you cant just say oh i think jon jones would beat machida or rashad based on height. thats a flawed logic. if someone has enough speed, then a reach advantage will become a disadvantage. machida ko'd franklin when he was 3-0 and rich was 14-0 more impressive than jones 9 months of training.
@forbesfoofighters I agree and was actually telling someone this exact thing about me just winning in sparing with my reach. I wont get better like that and one day someone will have a longer reach then what (forgot to say someone with speed can also easily win). But i think people underestimate Bones because he doesnt just play the outside game.
It seems like people have forgotten Machida a bit ... but he's a fucking amazing fighter ... him vs Jon Jones is one of the biggest fightest ever in the UFC .. . the only better fight would be to see the winner fight anderson silva
@d6ud9e Rampage fight could've gone either way. And Shogun is a bad style match up for Machida. Stop being a hater. Machida can beat any LHW on any given night.
@gspsucks Nope not really, it actually works. Its just once you get the mechanics you have a fair chance of predicting his movement, and I give Shogun props for solving Machida's footwork. Muay Thai has its own version of Maai too though not as complex as Karate. You can use this stuff in real fights and mma fights too, I give props to Lyoto Machida who remained unbeaten before his rematch with Lyoto and that is a damn good record.
@Kaisertoji Thiago Silva and Rashad Evans were real fighters? That's so stupid! Thiago Silva never became a UFC champ and so Rashad never defend his belt as Couture said you can't call your self champ if you didn't defend your belt. And GSP is not sucks, he is the greatest WW champ to enter in octagon.
@AznboiY2J he can switches stances i did that before to i learned how to do it to but its harder to get used to it at first so if you train in mma then id advise you to learn this :)
Bought the set. Was expecting alot more. I was disapointed, I really thought it would be an in depth instructional systematic breakdown of his footwork/angle style. Nope. What you see in this vid is what you get in the set. Im dying to find a good source of info on using angles; learning to hit and not be hit(as much at least).
@hellogary11 Wild Card Gym Freddie Roach will help you out, look what he did with Manny Pacquiao, Punch from all angels and side step side step, heck even GSP trained with them for a while.
I don't mean to be a critic but the opponent is going to be dashing at you throwing a ton of adrenaline fuelled punches in a second, not two slow ones. So would this still work under real life situations?
@nejihyuga901 indeed this technique is very suitable to real life situations. it's simple (not complicated) but still hard to apply. seems easy to do but needs a lot of practice to do right.
I am not the biggest fan of Lyoto as a fighter, however a lot of the techniques he uses are awesome. I also think Lyoto is a bad match up for Jon Jones.
One thing is for sure after losing 2 fights, Machida front kicked Randy Coutre on the chin and lost some teeth. Shogun is still blaming his bum leg, next he'll be blaming his face for that front kick.
If Sensei Machida uses this evasive movement in the form of a circle like in aikido or in Kali-Eskrima it would make this evasive footwork even more effective than going in a linear straight line. That way you are always on the opponants side where he has little power or on his six where he has almost no power due to forward momentum.
A overhand is very much like our Kahp Choih which is long fist swinging type of punch that is not really a lead off technique and better suited as a finishing technique after you have set up the opponant with one or two other techniques. The overhand is not good as a lead technique becuase it is difficult to make it non-telegraphic and takes time to reach its target than most other punches but what it lackes in speed it makes up for in power.
The same principle can also be applied to leg kicks but instead of a retreating jab, Sensei Machida could use a retreating forward knee thrust. When the knee is bent and thrust forward using the point of the knee it is a very hard hitting surface and very effective against low roundhouse kicks to the thighs. Block by attack and detroy. The knee method requires accuracy but unlike going shin to shin does not hurt as much.
a good martial artist will use all ways be they footwork, head movement or blocking / parrying. it will depend on the situation and the energy that your opponant gives you. Blocking can be a effective offence as well. If you are going to block simultaneously attack at the same time or use a hard style block (forearm or elbow). Or as in the case of Sensei Machida use a retreating jab as your block.
Lyoto Machida is a excellent karate-ka and jujitsu-ka and represents traditional martial artists well and he is very open-minded. A true Martial Artist.
When you back up in a fight, you aren't running, anyone who says you are is just dumb and wants to see you get KO'd. It's smart to back paddle and side step. it's avoiding damage that can be inflicted to you.
@andyyang3 people apparently like getting punched. forget defense or countering,stay there in front of them and bang like an idiot until either you or him get knocked out. Thats using the old noggin.
@everio17 LOL, yeah thats why you see many knockouts happen, I prefer using head movement, others prefer blocking. it's just that blocking can hurt your forearm and such, take Silva's bout against Griffin. that was all head movement.
This video without a doubt was super entertaining, I mean I stayed awake the whole time which more than I can say for the $60 lyoto main events on PPV, do I have to pay youtube for this?
I love how right after Lyoto KO'd Thiago Silva and Rashad Evans, everyone was on his nuts. Suddenly the haters went from calling him a pussy to, "noooo he's a smart fighter" then after Shogun KO'd him he suddenly is just "a runner" again...WAAAACK! These, "MMA fans" are so wish washy, its ridiculous. Anyone who knows anything about the sport would understand the different between running and evading/countering. Liddell backpedaled a lot too, but people don't give him shit.
@JustinThoj your right these fools dont got no respect, eeerrraggooooo they clearly havent fought cuz fighting someone is the most respectfull shit ever u gota shake hands after though no pussy as grudges but i guess once ur on tv alot u gotta put on a show
It's awesome to see some of the other Martial arts represented effectively in MMA. Kinda tired or Muay Thai/BJJ guys and Wrestling/Boxing guys. It's good to see something different every once and a while. Love to see more Judo used in the octagon, but that will prolly happen if more Japanese fighters come over here. Catch Wrestling is awesome as well.
@docbach329 Lol, it is. A lil predictable with all the kicks, but I quess it's no more predictable than a guy who only uses his hands. That son of a bitch can kick though lol. Also with his wrestling background it's hard to take him down. He is a dangerous fighter. If only he got into mma sooner.
ha, yeah. i guess it is a little predictable. but he sets up everything so well with his side kick. thats why allot of people are scared to even go near him.
but yeah, his wrestling is sick. he slams like rampage back in the pride day. whats a bummer is that he took a year or so off to shoot movies like tekken and fighting.
but hey, at least he avenged that loss to scott smith. maybe he does have a future in the sport.
Machida is Shotokan karate black belt, traditional Japanese style, for years other styles slag us off saying we're too rigid, long stances, not strong etc......funny how we go into UFC and win! No one style is better or worse than the next, it's all about the heart and soul of the fighter....SPIRIT first, TECHNIQUE second.
completely agree with you, bass ruten is also a good example he has a 5th dan in kyokushin karate, and was one of the best in mma. and you have lyoto whi is a shotokan karateka who is also one of the best. Spirit first, technique scond, style third.
@GhostMarksman Yes he beat Michael Macdonald and Sokoudjou by different chokes. Macdonald by forearm choke and Sokoudjou by arm triangle. But I dont think hes ever even had the chance to get a rear naked choke.
@LiNaK37 dude seriously do u have a fucking life coming here to bash lyoto machida your a faggot i swear you shogun fans are the worst and all shogun needs to do is learn not to give his back and get choked out and blame a leg injury. stfu man please. everyone losses a fight by something small i feel machida will come back and put shogun on his back this time and choke his sorry ass out
EPIC WAR! It's rare that you see a YT argument that might end up going to the cards. Southsiderphx is gonna have to get active or they're gonna stand this one back up, where I believe homeslice has the edge. :)
@LiNaK37 he already leared his lesson from shoguns leg kicks, they didnt work at all in the rematch, machida tagged him hard and i think hurt his hand again over his steel head. shoguns head is really made of fucking rock, not kidding. Machidas mistake was hesitating with his strike, he waited and shogun saw it so he waited for machida to throw... machida threw and shogun was ready with that overhand right, but machida tripped into fullmount.. bad bad bad luck 4 machida.
@LiNaK37 yea i no thats true. Really.... what would a karate fighter do against a fighter like shogun>?? i think machida did a good job in both fights, and just shoulda been more carefull in the rematch and won, should have never fought shoguns type of fight.
@LiNaK37 LOL! Thats funny. I was just watching a vid with Steve Seagal training him and Seagal says "I saw the fight... why did you stand in front of those? Why didn't you turn?"
I guess he has more to learn, but at least he's out there forging his destiny. win or lose he's been an example of karate that ppl need to see. Even Joe Rogan taking back his bone headed comments about karate.
Now all Shogun needs to do is learn how to evade knees to the face and everything else in Jones's arsenal that dominated him and made him TAP to strikes.
this dude has won more fights by decision than By actual fighting Lyoto's style consists in Punching and running away and wasting time I'm happy that Shogun put him to sleep. thats what happens when karate boys play with MuayThai MEN!
He's also had some vicious knockouts. Rashad Evans, Thiago Silva, Rich Franklin, and a couple others. His style is to not get hit. That's what intelligent fighting is. He backs up to lure in the guy. He backs at angles, and the opponent tries to square up, leaving himself exposed, then Machida punches them in the face. What you think he's doing and what the tactics are all about are completely different.
where are all the machida nut huggers hes unstopable he is the best shit my ass he is!!!!!!!!!!fuck that karate kid bull shit!!i told you all he would get his ass beat!!!!!!!!! i just love it im lovin it!!!!!! his eye was fucked up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Funny thing is this is the same foot work i learn in Japanese Goshin Jujitsu, just karate has improved it by combining it all together. This sorta stuff make's me want to train Shotokan.
I recall Lyoto winning the first match by unanimous decision, retard.
Shogun did not win match number one (either by the Judges decision or in actuality despite the judges decision). I've watched the fight over 10 times and scored it. Lyoto solidly took rounds 1-3. Stop listening to Rogan's obviously bias announcing of that fight.
The consistent and overwhelmingly pathetic amount of nuthugging on Rua that went on doesn't change Lyoto's "W" against Rua in their first match.
@HomesliceDrummer You're the retard here, Shogun outstruck Lyoto 2:1, cut Lyoto's face, Bruised his leg, and broke his ribs, and you're going to tell me Lyoto won?
LMAO, everytime Shogun kicked, he got punched in the face at the same time. Lyoto clinched and threw 4 hard knees and more flying knees too, blitzed him against the fence and landed 6 strikes in one go and the only thing mentioned was a 1 weak counter by Rua as he got his ass handed to him in the exchange.
I have the fight on disc, and have watched it 8 times. Lyoto won based upon points scored by a significant margin.
Lyoto countered every exchange with a punch or two, and is the only fighter to land big combos in the entire fight. He either equaled or bested Rua in nearly every exchange plus the big 4 knee clinch combo and the blitz against the fence.
@HomesliceDrummer He attempted to counter, Shogun blocked almost all of them, and you keep forgetting not only did Shogun land more shots than Lyoto, but Shogun's strikes actually did visible damage.
Oh my hell, shogun did NOT block lyoto's punches. He ate them almost everytime. How many times have you seen the fight?
Watch the fight again, and score it, counting Machidas punches vs shoguns kicks in the exchanges and you will see who actually landed more strikes.
You're talking out your ass. Lyoto won the first fight fo sure. The judges scored it properly, unanimously and definitively. Bias and wanting someone to win doesn't make them win a close fight.
@HomesliceDrummer I'm talking out of my ass? Because Fightmetric, Compustrike, Bloody Elbow, and all of the assorted websites somehow all came up with Rua landing 80 shots and Machida landing 40, but Machida still landed more strikes right?
In the first 3 rounds, Machida won. The other 2, where Shogun did win the rounds, landed the majority of his strikes.
Round 1 was really close, round 2 Machida most certainly won without question, and Shogun won 4 and 5 without question. Machida pulled the victory, and deserved it based upon the rules of the fight.
@HomesliceDrummer Lolwut? Rua killed Machida in round 2. Shogun landed more strikes every round, and the only round Machida even landed more shots to the HEAD was Round 3.
LMAO. All 3 judges gave Lyoto rounds 2 and 3. Very conclusive. 2 of 3 gave him round 1. 1 of 3 gave him round 4. He was one judge away from a 49 46 decision.
@HomesliceDrummer The judge's decision is irrelevant, I'm not discussing who won but who kicked whose ass, and Shogun kicked Lyoto's ass. Shogun managed to land more strikes every round and his did more damage, got it?
@HomesliceDrummer So Compustrike and Fightmetric are just lying right? They counted every strike landed in the fight and saw that Shogun landed more every round, but I guess Machida still landed more in the first 3 rounds somehow, makes perfect sense.
Again, strikes to the head are worth 3X as much as a strike to the leg. Every time shogun lands a kick, and gets punched in the face, he loses the exchange 3 to 1. Sometimes he got punched twice in the face, and loses the exchange 6 to . Hard to win getting beat 3 to 1 or 6 to 1 on an exchange.
Learn the scoring system before you try and say who wins in striking. Total strikes landed isn't the issue anyways. It's where they landed that makes the difference.
You probably noticed how some in Machida's camp said that you can't win a fight just by kicking someone in the leg a bunch. This is what they are talking about. Strikes to the body are worth more than strikes to the legs, and strikes to the face are worth more than strikes to the body.
If you punch the face 1 time, while getting kicked to the leg twice, you still win.
Machida laned a flurry of knees in the thai clinch in the first round, and shogun didn't have a melee attack like that the entire fight. Plus machida definitely landed more head strikes than shogun the first round. Every leg kick was countered with a head strike, landing most of them.
@HomesliceDrummer Shogun blocked almost all of Lyoto's attempted counters, the deciding factor was leg kicks. The only round were Lyoto landed more strikes in any one area was round 1, where as you said, he landed those knees. But in all other rounds head and body strikes were about equal, but Shogun landed leg kick upon leg kick.
@HomesliceDrummer I realise that the judges gave him the win, that's why the decision was so controversial. I'm not trying to put down Lyoto, he's a great fighter, but before Shogun he has never fought anybody with that much talent, other than BJ Penn, but Shogun's style is better suited for Lyoto than BJ's. I will also admit that if it wasn't for Shogun's chin the second fight would have been much closer, but it doesn't change the fact that Shogun outsruck Lyoto in the first fight.
Yeah, I watched the fight and he did get KO. It's just funny how shogun nuthuggers love to be overbearing about the fact that he had hs first impressive fiht in the octagon in his UFC career. His performances against coleman and griffin were pathetic.
@HomesliceDrummer hehe yeah but whats more pathetic is the fact if he was able to knock out machida with ease and not forrest and coleman that tells you he was injured if you dont accept that then that means forrest and coleman are better than machida hahahaha stupid machida small cock sucking faggot he got knocked he fuck out by the shogoon and dude he is healed thats why he went 5 rounds with machida instead of gassing in the second.
@HomesliceDrummer also ufc isnt mma u fruit when he was well and healed he dominated pride i mean dominated and then he bounced back from that injury and got his stamina back and dominated chuck lidell then losing to machida by controversial decision going 5 rounds with the champ the rematch knocking him the hell out.
@HomesliceDrummer lol look at this britsh faggit arnt you kinda being ironic lol insulting me for being a shogun fan being your a piss drinking fan why dont you suck his small japanese cock and drink urine with him and his dad get machidas chopstick out your ass hole boy and to talk about punctuation and all that shit on youtube shows how white you really are lol white people.
@HomesliceDrummer hehe since you checked it out it means you liked it it seems you need to grow up going on a persons profile to get dirt lol you make me laugh and im not a "gook" hehe white trash bitch hehe the fact you checked out my "rap" videos means your some how inlove with my dick please dont stop sucking it feels great.
@HomesliceDrummer aww its ok whitey I undestand its easy to be the white skinned getting beat the fuck up by a street thug no point in arguing since we all know nothing will come out of it but you typing shit to feel good about your self its ok white man and I dont have a closet I have a box full of clothes how bout I come out the box then hahahaha.
Of course you have a box full of clothes, you're a poor minority bitch that can't afford a hole in the wall to put your clothes in. You have no life and think you're some sort of an e-thug badass that comes around talking shit for no apparent reason.
Getting beat up? Oh, yeah, telling me I suck cock is really handing me an asswhooping.
@HomesliceDrummer yes i sure am lol your a typical angry white kid on the computer seeking to win internet fights hehe funny though because the fact you are so mad hahahahaha suck my dick some more please bahahaha.

Cung Lee`s sanshou is pretty impressive as well.
docbach329 1 year ago
@docbach329 Lol, it is. A lil predictable with all the kicks, but I quess it's no more predictable than a guy who only uses his hands. That son of a bitch can kick though lol. Also with his wrestling background it's hard to take him down. He is a dangerous fighter. If only he got into mma sooner.
ThewasupmanHO 1 year ago
@ThewasupmanHO
ha, yeah. i guess it is a little predictable. but he sets up everything so well with his side kick. thats why allot of people are scared to even go near him.
but yeah, his wrestling is sick. he slams like rampage back in the pride day. whats a bummer is that he took a year or so off to shoot movies like tekken and fighting.
but hey, at least he avenged that loss to scott smith. maybe he does have a future in the sport.

Spirit first, technique scond, style third.

tman229 1 year ago
@LiNaK37 he already leared his lesson from shoguns leg kicks, they didnt work at all in the rematch, machida tagged him hard and i think hurt his hand again over his steel head. shoguns head is really made of fucking rock, not kidding. Machidas mistake was hesitating with his strike, he waited and shogun saw it so he waited for machida to throw... machida threw and shogun was ready with that overhand right, but machida tripped into fullmount.. bad bad bad luck 4 machida.

@LiNaK37 yea i no thats true. Really.... what would a karate fighter do against a fighter like shogun>?? i think machida did a good job in both fights, and just shoulda been more carefull in the rematch and won, should have never fought shoguns type of fight.

this dude has won more fights by decision than By actual fighting Lyoto's style consists in Punching and running away and wasting time I'm happy that Shogun put him to sleep. thats what happens when karate boys play with MuayThai MEN!
gusto1978 1 year ago
@gusto1978
What you think he's doing and what the tactics are all about are completely different.

akumaheat 1 year ago
@akumaheat Lolwut? I recall Shogun whoopin Lyoto's ass two times in a row, so I don't see how he's the best fighter.
LiNaK37 1 year ago
@LiNaK37
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@HomesliceDrummer You're the retard here, Shogun outstruck Lyoto 2:1, cut Lyoto's face, Bruised his leg, and broke his ribs, and you're going to tell me Lyoto won?
LiNaK37 1 year ago
@LiNaK37
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@LiNaK37
Lyoto countered every exchange with a punch or two, and is the only fighter to land big combos in the entire fight. He either equaled or bested Rua in nearly every exchange plus the big 4 knee clinch combo and the blitz against the fence.
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@HomesliceDrummer He attempted to counter, Shogun blocked almost all of them, and you keep forgetting not only did Shogun land more shots than Lyoto, but Shogun's strikes actually did visible damage.
LiNaK37 1 year ago
@LiNaK37
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@HomesliceDrummer I'm talking out of my ass? Because Fightmetric, Compustrike, Bloody Elbow, and all of the assorted websites somehow all came up with Rua landing 80 shots and Machida landing 40, but Machida still landed more strikes right?
LiNaK37 1 year ago
@LiNaK37
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@HomesliceDrummer Lolwut? Rua killed Machida in round 2. Shogun landed more strikes every round, and the only round Machida even landed more shots to the HEAD was Round 3.
LiNaK37 1 year ago
@LiNaK37
LMAO. All 3 judges gave Lyoto rounds 2 and 3. Very conclusive. 2 of 3 gave him round 1. 1 of 3 gave him round 4. He was one judge away from a 49 46 decision.
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@HomesliceDrummer The judge's decision is irrelevant, I'm not discussing who won but who kicked whose ass, and Shogun kicked Lyoto's ass. Shogun managed to land more strikes every round and his did more damage, got it?
LiNaK37 1 year ago
@LiNaK37
Hahaha. No, shogun did not land more strikes in every round. He would have won the decision if he did that. That's why he lost.
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@HomesliceDrummer Umm yeah he DID land more strikes every round, leg kicks count you know.
LiNaK37 1 year ago
@LiNaK37
Really, they do? No way!!! lol
Count the number of times Machida punched him in the face when he got kicked in the leg.
A strike to the face is worth more than a strike to the leg, and a body strike in between. Maybe you should understand how the striking is scored.
And, no, Shogun did not land more strikes than machida in the first 3 rounds.
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@HomesliceDrummer So Compustrike and Fightmetric are just lying right? They counted every strike landed in the fight and saw that Shogun landed more every round, but I guess Machida still landed more in the first 3 rounds somehow, makes perfect sense.
LiNaK37 1 year ago
@LiNaK37
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@LiNaK37
Lets say Rua lands 300 leg kicks and Lyoto's leg falls off, yet Machida lands 101 punches to the face and Shogun is only bruised and swollen.
Machida wins the fight because he scored relative 303 vs 300.
Get it now?
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@LiNaK37
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@HomesliceDrummer Shogun landed more strikes to the head anyway, and Shogun's striking was more effective because it actually did visible damage.
LiNaK37 1 year ago
@LiNaK37
Perhaps, but not in the first 3 rounds dude.
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@HomesliceDrummer The head strikes were about equal in the first round, but Shogun landed more strikes to the leg
LiNaK37 1 year ago
@LiNaK37
Machida laned a flurry of knees in the thai clinch in the first round, and shogun didn't have a melee attack like that the entire fight. Plus machida definitely landed more head strikes than shogun the first round. Every leg kick was countered with a head strike, landing most of them.
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@HomesliceDrummer Shogun blocked almost all of Lyoto's attempted counters, the deciding factor was leg kicks. The only round were Lyoto landed more strikes in any one area was round 1, where as you said, he landed those knees. But in all other rounds head and body strikes were about equal, but Shogun landed leg kick upon leg kick.
LiNaK37 1 year ago
@LiNaK37 Yet all 3 judges gave him the win. That's funny....
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@HomesliceDrummer I realise that the judges gave him the win, that's why the decision was so controversial. I'm not trying to put down Lyoto, he's a great fighter, but before Shogun he has never fought anybody with that much talent, other than BJ Penn, but Shogun's style is better suited for Lyoto than BJ's. I will also admit that if it wasn't for Shogun's chin the second fight would have been much closer, but it doesn't change the fact that Shogun outsruck Lyoto in the first fight.
LiNaK37 1 year ago
@HomesliceDrummer haha yeah machidas camp were right you cant win just by leg kicks thats why on the rematch SHOGUN KNOCKED HIM THE FUCK OUT LOL.

Yeah, I watched the fight and he did get KO. It's just funny how shogun nuthuggers love to be overbearing about the fact that he had hs first impressive fiht in the octagon in his UFC career. His performances against coleman and griffin were pathetic.
HomesliceDrummer 1 year ago
@HomesliceDrummer hehe yeah but whats more pathetic is the fact if he was able to knock out machida with ease and not forrest and coleman that tells you he was injured if you dont accept that then that means forrest and coleman are better than machida hahahaha stupid machida small cock sucking faggot he got knocked he fuck out by the shogoon and dude he is healed thats why he went 5 rounds with machida instead of gassing in the second.
southsideriderphx 1 year ago
@HomesliceDrummer also ufc isnt mma u fruit when he was well and healed he dominated pride i mean dominated and then he bounced back from that injury and got his stamina back and dominated chuck lidell then losing to machida by controversial decision going 5 rounds with the champ the rematch knocking him the hell out.
