  • Seems my response was to long, this is the last part :).

YES read with them! Share your journey with them, when you suffer a failure or loss, share with them, share your JOY with them. I have some exp with this principle. I posted here about my wife Alyssa, we beat Pancreatic cancer and have seven children.

  • Sorry, I posted below before I finsihed my thoughts :).

Children for the most part mimic what they see and here, as do most people in general as it is part of fitting in. If you want them to be involved and active then be involved and active, not just buy taking them to soccer practice or going to a few games for instance but buy going out and playing with them, play a card game, a board game, have them play with connex, or licholn logs and then check in on them and give feedback.

  • I liked this interview.Great stuff, reading and being active, just love it.

Immediate gratification has so degraded the interests of our children. So much distraction for very little effort. Many children lose themselves because they don't have a sense of who they are or could be from lack of interest. There is no need for them to develope immagination or creativity so they don't....not even with the games they play, they look for cheats.

  • I always ask," Why don't we teach the kids to write with both hands?" They focus too heavily on left brain thinking. something that needs to happen is: WAKE UP THE RIGHT BRAIN IN CHILDREN!!!! I say, teach Virtues! Alittle empathy goes a long way! They only need to learn left=right brain transfer skills! When my kids were small, we played the quiet game. Whom ever was the most quiet during our trip got a treat. everyone always won!! have a groovy day, Joanna

  • I would love to see one of these episodes with Dolly Parton.

  • I think lots of parents and teachers need to see this! She is explaining some useful and pretty fundamental things most parents need to know about.

  • Im the first viewer! Yay:) Add me as a friend and Sub me?
