Dude this version is a loooooong way from the best version. How about the version from Pulse, stunning. Clapton is a good guitarist, no question but he is a long way from being Gilmour when playing a Pink Floyd song. During Roger Waters "The Wall" tour, he had to replace Gilmour with 3 separate guitarists and the combo still was not nearly as good.

You won't find a better sounding way to play a Pink Floyd song the way Gilmour plays it, so why try. I think Clapton looks silly every time he plays a Floyd song. Clapton very good obviously had his own great style, but Pink Floyd as a band blows away anything he ever did and no one should try play there music except them, except when there are gone maybe.

As a proffesional guitar player playing mark knopfler for 15 years now playing in a jazz band I only can say that every guitarist has its own way to express himself and there is no bad or good guitarist. it is only matter of taste nothing else. gilmour has a feeling but he has a boring solos and always repeat most of his sheme..eric is little more sharp and classy player so it isnt strange that he cant improvise on this specific song.. maybe he hasnt time to do it and thats it.

@kubadzierzawski hehe.widzę po twojej nazwie,że polakiem jesteś.ty.bo gościu pisze jakieś bzdury.przecież po pierwsze sam waters solo to tylko namiastka floydów jest.a to wykonanie to lipa.pozmieniał aranżacje i to nie ma tego samego klimatu.a to co zrobił z set the controls for the heart of the sun to już profanacja...jego muzyka nie ma klimatu tamtego i moim zdaniem źle się stało,że opuścił floydów,ale...to ich sprawa i musiało się tak stać.pozdrowienia z Jawora na Dolnym Śląsku ;)

Za to wiemy co się powstało dzięki opuszczeniu zespołu, bo mamy dwie świetne solowe płyty amused to death i the pros and cons of hitch hiking, oraz genialny division bell, który nigdy nie powstał by gdyby nie decyzja Rogera o odejściu.

@jauerbaton89 I'm the floyd knowin' all..the best one in my sens is still the P.U.L.S.E..version ..I own any rare, official, live, etc of the floyd's music..and for me "94 tour" is the best version with Tim Runwick and the best vocal of Gilmour on it, warm powerful, painful...even through this one touched me somehow, and it's too rare for me to apreciate Clapton..but here he did an amazing touch..but you had reason it's not the best..
