omg thank you for posting this!! My two friends and I saw something exactly like this on I94 on our way to River Falls... and then again for a second time on a back road off of the interstate 30 minutes later. Except the second time we saw it veryyy close behind a tree line next to the road... and then it disappeared and reappeared way in the distance within about 3 seconds. Thanks again! I feel a bit more sane.

I have seen this in the past, unexplainable. Since then have been seeing ALOT of them at night. Most people write them off as stars, planets, planes, anything really..but I can def tell you that is not a weather balloon. Ignorant people will dismiss what they do no know, we need to look up once in a while, im glad you are!

I saw something similar to this last year(2008), tailing a military plane. Wish I had a camera with me at the time.

looks like it mght have been a small plane flying around. i see the exact kind of thing between sauk city and baraboo all the time. there's a small airport just west of sauk for small planes. the bright light you see in the vid is more than likely just sunlight reflecting from the fusilage, windows or canopy. at least that's my take on it.

Thanks for your comment but I'm sure it wasn't a plane. The video doesn't show everything well but there was a definite spinning to the object.

after having served in the af for 5 1/2 yrs, the ang for 1 1/2 years and been around aircraft for most of my life due to my dad being in the af as well i can confidently say that what you saw was more than likely a plane and the "spinning" was probably due to heat distorting the reflection of light. much like when you see distortions in the distance on blacktop. i've seen a lot of funny things on the ramps, runways, flightlines and over bases in my time. i'm sure this is no different.
