@angelofadevil1 If you have one lesson a week it's enough, but you'd have to practise at home other days too... that's important especially in the beginning. Idk, it's not really that hard to learn, I guess it depends? e.g. you learn how to blow in a flute so you get a sound, the sound won't prob be that good in the start but it'll be better, then you have to memorise fingerpositions of different notes (you'll of course have to learn to read notes) and such... Lol idk hope that helps somehow.

You need to do more breath techniques also, try to extend the notes a bit more, like making a full sentence if you will. Very good though just a little work on your breath and your tone quality and you will be fine.

@krXlr8 Thanks, but I'm no good at giving tips, not sure if there is any. I've been playing for quite a long time, and I really enjoy playing beautiful songs and I try and sound so also. I guess, if you just continue playing it'll come? But you can make sure you have moist lips. And I usually like to keep my flute in not too warm temperature, I've noticed the tone sometimes sounds a bit clearer then. And remember to keep your flute clean. Idk. Try those out and see if it has any difference :)

@krXlr8 i've been playing for about 3 years so maybe i can help you with tips. the octaves from 1:15 , well, you dont HAVE to play it, but u can choose to play it of you want. the reason it comes out like a "hoarse screech" might be because it's not clean inside, ur lips are too dry, the flute head is too stuck to the flute body (u just have to pull it out a little), and ways you can improve is to keep practicing. for high notes, keep ur lips close to the edge and low notes, the opposite

@krXlr8 I've been playing flute for quite a few years. I find that the upper register notes are clearer when you support the sounds with your diaphragm, not by forcing the notes with sheer air. The best tone quality comes with support, not extra air.

Practicing helps a lot too. The more you play your flute, the easier it is to achieve the tone that you want.

A lot of ppl ask me where I got the sheet music, it's Josh's Anime Sheet Music Collection, and if you don't find them for the flute it means I might have used the notes meant for violin or instruments like that. Try those out too, they sometimes do work for the flute just as well!
