@tideboy69 Strange comment, nonetheless, but congrats on getting a great class! Y'all definitely filled some losses to the draft with the recruiting class.
@tideboy69 If Winston doesn't go pro...But we have a redshirt senior QB who's won every bowl game he's played in, so this might be the year as well. Greg Reid will want to get a title as well in his senior year.
@Jagnole101 No matter the talent th NO-les have, they need to be coached up.....Prediction:The Fla. St. program will have another embarrassing season and people will see...This is your las great recruiting class....BAma will continue order
@SuthrnMoxy We want to be in the SEC, but Bama, who calls the shots, doesn't want that. Instead, the SEC got 2 more whipping boys with Missouri and Texas A&M. If FSU was in the SEC, they wouldn't have to deal with the worst refs in history, like they do now. ZERO holding calls are made for our D-Linemen in the ACC, and we still ended up with 40 sacks. Congrats on the mulligan title btw. Wish my team didn't have to play in the conf title game, and waltz on in to the NC game.
@Jagnole101: You're full of shit. The SEC has been making offers to FSU for two decades now, and your OWN administration voted to raise the ACC exit fee. You telling me you guys are all on board to leave the ACC when you're voting to cost yourselves more money by doing so?
@PooPoo2U That's not true. Fisher told sources that they'd go to the SEC if asked. Why not? Better competition, better chances to move up in the polls(especially after 1 loss), WAAAAY better refs. The ACC has by far the worst refs in football, and that makes it a tougher conference if you are FSU, because they hate FSU. FSU had 40 sacks last year, but that's about 2/3 of what they could have had. Offensive linemen pull down our guys all game long, and get away with it. Watch the film.
@Jagnole101: You might want to straighten out Bob Goin and Bobby Bowden, as apparently they both had some delusion that Roy Kramer expressed interest in them and that they merely chose the ACC over the SEC.
Bobby Bowden: "When you started looking at it from a financial perspective and what's best for us, I felt pretty sure what we should do is go ahead and join the ACC. ... Bob [Goin] had it laid out pretty good. I'll be honest with you, it was a no-brainer."
@PooPoo2U That was way back when the SEC wasn't as deep, and FSU beat the SEC champ on more than one occasion, so you can't even say we were afraid. Playing ND, Miami(UF took them off the schedule like pussies), and Michigan isn't what a weakling team would do. And even now, it seems like all the teams are cannon fodder to Alabama and LSU. But this will all change.
@Jagnole101: Also no, I wasn't there, but the fact there was a "there" to begin with proves my point, or are you suggesting that the SEC went to make a presentation to FSU to keep them out of the conference? Get over it FSU fans: Your administration was presented a chance at joining the SEC and instead they chose the ACC barn party over the SEC soiree.
This fact is corroborated by your coach at the time, your boosters, your AD, and the ACC's commissioner... everyone but the fans.
@PooPoo2U What Im saying is Bama runs the show, and they already get affected in general in recruiting...you really think Saban wants to recruit against Fisher conference-wise? There's a reason why Saban had Fisher as his chief recruiter at LSU. Did you not see where I said Fisher said if the opportunity presented itself for them to join, they would do so? Maybe you were right about the AD(but only for money reasons)...but when the coach wants to join that shows they arent scared
@Jagnole101: Your current coach, yes, but your previous one wanted no part of it, and he was a better coach. Fisher might say publicly that he wants to join, but he wouldn't be enthusiastic once he got here. I mean really, losing to Wake Forest and UVA in the same season? I love UVA as a home state school and my first Alma mater, but they're a basketball school. As far as football goes they're admittedly a bit of a joke.
@PooPoo2 Alabama has a loss to ULM on their record. Do you see them losing to them anytime soon? There have been so many teams that have lost to others throughout history that might have not been very good. I've been watching FSU football(thoroughly) since 1997...and I know when we are legit enough to win a title. There have been flashes since 2000, but I didn't feel too confident. I know 2011, there was a great feeling, but I felt 2012 would be the year for FSU to lose.
@PooPoo2U I think FSU's true potential would shine much better in the SEC. Better teams, better refs. I would love to see better games. I despise the Gator fans(As does the majority of the population)...but I want to see them dominant, because it will make FSU look that much better if they win. And I'm not the only one who likes FSU who feels that way.
@Jagnole101: While you're at it, check Roy Kramer and Wayne Hogan's heads too. Both of them apparently had a joint hallucination that Kramer and Mark Womack showed up and presented a pro-SEC case. Must'f been pretty vivid too, as Hogan vividly describes this situation that you say didn't happen.
I guess the people who were there just don't know as well as the people who read the papers huh?
@PooPoo2U So apparently you have just as much insight as I do, seeing as you weren't there either. Forget, bud. FSU isn't afraid of anyone. We actually have the balls to play Oklahoma in Norman(of course losing bad), but still doing it is valiant. FSU invited several SEC schools to play in place of WVU, with the best being Arkansas...wish it could have been LSU or Alabama, and us playing at LSU or Bama. Wouldn't want to deal with ACC refs.
@Jagnole101: Wow, you've played them in Norman twice... once more than we have. You've also played them the past two years in a row. We did that almost ten years ago. What took you so long?
@PooPoo2U We were too busy getting paid by your arch rival AU(Asterisk University) to not play them, and we were playing teams like UM, and UF every year.
@SuthrnMoxy This is FSU's last great recruiting class? lmao Are you kidding me? Is that why Saban had Fisher as his head recruiter at LSU? The one thing you were right about was coaching. Fisher does need to instill more discipline in the players, but last year's collapse happened because of the offensive line injuries(we brought in more depth this year), and ridiculous calls(I'm not a redneck who continuously blames the refs like Gator fans, either).
@fralo70 what are you talking about? LSU has won more championships and Alabama has only a couple DBs in the NFL compared to LSU's 7 (going on to 9 and by next year 12). Your an idiot, don't make up stupid statistics
@beattheheatnigga this nigga makarov is straight dumb, LSU produces waay better corners than bama, Kirkpatrick is good but Peterson blows him away and so does Claiborne, and they also got mathieu coming up possible being a top 10 pick
@hustlaaa23 Mathieu is terrible. he failed to defend kevin norwood, marquis maze, and darius hanks and this was considered to be a let down as far as bama recievers this year so if thats what you think is good then your opinion is invalid. jackson frolm alabama is a solid starter in the league and so is arenas name two nfl db's from lsu right now that are les miles coached that are key contributors to their respective teams.
@ballac0018 hahah Kirkpatrick is NOT even close to being as good as mathieu. Kirkpatrick is the #5 cornerback out of this years draft... mathieu is most likely a top 5 pick if he comes off a good year like this past one
Claiborne is a stud no doubt. Must be nice to have one of a player drafted in the first round each year, well almost each year. We will have 4 or 5 drafted in the first round this year including 2 DBs one of which is a safety (which Landon plays). Chavis does a great job with D, your argument was that Bama doesn't produce NFL DBs and in that you are incorrect, much like your spelling of ridiculous. Peterson's DB coach in AZ, DeShea Townsend, Bama DB, starting Safety in AZ, R. Johnson, Bama
@TheMakarov42 I agree, Bama puts out good DBs but LSU's are consistently better. Once I see Bama put a DB in the top 5 draft picks (which almost NEVER happens), I'll agree that they are close to LSU's ability to do the same. Remember that while Claiborne is going top 3 this year, Tyran Mathieu is already projected to be a top 10 pick (fantasy drafts for 2013 put him at #7) and even a Bama fans has to admit that next year, he may be the best DB on that field.
@BeatTheHeatNigga You cant even compare the two besides Dre Kirk who has Alabama recruited that was a great DB prospect. K. Jackson was a 3 star Javier Arenas was a 3 star. Saban started the recruiting pipeline that made it possible for LSU to get players like P. Peterson. You cant even compare them bro!
@x5starhustla LSU was able to take Clairborne who DIDN'T EVEN PLAY CB (he was a wide reciever) and coach him into becoming the #1 Cornerback in the NFL Draft and Mathieu's recieved Defensive Player of the Year for the S.E.C. and also was a Heisman candidate..Dre Kirk has nothing on that. So you can keep telling yourself whatever you like but LSU is DBU (Defensive Back University) whether you like it or not
He played on a 5A football team, which here in La is as biggest classification a team can be in. They plays very good teams from the baton rouge area. This kid is sick, he has excellent tacking skills and these days are hard to come by. He has amazing closing speed and looks like a man among boys in high school. I cant wait to see him in a crimson jersey. From here in southern Louisiana, ROLL TIDE!!
@xFRAZ1ERx It does take 2 or 3 years for top recruits to be real playmakers, but Bama does have a good team next year and they'll be real solid for at least the next few years. As long as Saban is coach they have a good shot at the National Title.
@omarbuckeye hate to break it to you but it isn't official. A lot can change between now and signing game and since he lives and grew up in Louisiana, the chance of him switch to LSU is extremely high.
I agree. there's still a couple weeks before it's official and anybody who thinks LSU still won't go after this kid is crazy. His mom obviously wanted LSU and the fact that he's from the NOLA area might mean a change..we'll see soon.
@GOBLUE2893 It would also make sense that he would go to LSU because they've had the best defensive backfield in college history. i mean
2009 - Landry
2010 - Peterson
2011 - Clairborne
2012 - Reid/Mathieu/Simon
Like honestly, going to play safety for them would secure his future in the nfl in a heartbeat and besides, Bama focuses on their line. They backfield is rarely recognized, which is why Hightower and Firk-whatever are the few safety/corners that will be drafted
@BeatTheHeatNigga ummm hightower is a linebacker first of all and Dre Kirkpatrick is the 7th nfl prospect at CB at alabama so get your facts straight!
@BeatTheHeatNigga Ummm. last time I checked there are 8 DBs in the NFL from Bama with 3 more expected to go in the draft this year, 2 are projected in the 1st round in next year that will be 11 DBs from Bama in the NFL.
Theres not one defensive backfield better than LSU's. And your facts that you completely made up are rediculous. I mean really? 3 DBs from Alabama are getting drafted this year? HA, only one is going because the other three are staying ya retard. And there may be 8 dbs from bama in the nfl but not half of them even play. Reid + Mathieus + Claiborne + Smith > Fitz.
@BeatTheHeatNigga Yes 3. I know that they don't teach counting down there in the swamp but Menzie, Kirkpatrick & Barron will all be drafted this year. That would be 3. You should probably stop smoking the stuff Les Miles smokes when he makes up on offensive game plan. Also, to your original post, Landry was drafted in 2007, not 2009. Alabama Pass D = Ranked #1 in NCAA 116.33 YPG LSU Pass D = Ranked #9 166.62 ypg (4th in the SEC , behind #2 USC 133.00 ypg, & #8 UGA 165.08 ypg)
@BeatTheHeatNigga His name is KIRKpatrick not FITZpatrick. Dre is way better than Tyrann Mathieu. He's overrated af and not even close to being the best on his team.
@BallaC0018 his stats are better than *Kirkpatrick (my b). he has a faster 40 time (he's faster), better instincts, and for someone who is over four inches shorter than kickpatrick, it's embarrassing that he has more tackles, interceptions, forced fumbles, AND fumble recoveries. You don't have to like Mathieu but the least you can do is respect that he is talented. He's the smallest guy on the field and yet, gains the most fear out of his opponents and probably makes many big plays
@BeatTheHeatNigga: It's rather funny to me that he has a faster 40 time and yet famously go beaten so bad that he had to cheap shot Kirkpatrick to keep him from nailing your man on a punt return.
@BeatTheHeatNigga they were saying something about his gf goingto Alabama also. Someone said they gave her a scholarship also , but i do not believe that
i love how he rips the ball out of his QBs hands when he takes the hand off....its like u can hear him saying "just give me the damn ball son" before he takes it to the house.....this kid is a beast.
He was scared to compete for a spot at LSU he knew that at LSU he was just going to be a regular player because their defense is already explosive, and he's a saftey! TM7 aint goin no where and he was scared of that, he wanted to go somewhere and start instead of becoming a humbled and better player by learning from number 1
@brentaugust7 Last time I checked the #1 defense resided in Tuscaloosa, LSU being #2, or shit as you so quaintly put it... And honestly both defense are full of NFL players anyway, what's your point? Oh and TM7 is a CB. So even if he went to LSU he wouldn't be in the same position as Matheiu... This is why fan is short for FANATIC... You're irrational. If you take the emotion out of it, he would be a star on either defense.
@brentaugust7 TM7 has a new nickname, "Toast"... The "honey badger" is one of the most overrated players in college football, just look at his performance against players that are well coached. He is just lucky and undisciplined.
RTR....You made a man choose. One that in your heart you knew was right but everyone doesnt see yet......go out and help them see and watch your mothers pride grow. she might even where a UA hat one day... :-D PTR
Welcome to The University of Alabama, Collins. Work hard and stay focused and playing time along with Championships are in your future. Seeing you and Ha'sean Clinton-Dix run the defense is going to be a sight. RTR
Les Miles didn't save his in home visit till after the national championship for nothing. February 1st is signing day gentleman. There is a lot of time left.
men vs. boys. come to LSU landon. you will be in the NFL in three years and have a chance at the heisman. look at bama dbs. they are usually overrated (mark barron) or thugs (dre kirkpatrick).
@clayharris6: Overrated? Those two were part of a defense that shut LSU completely down. Not just beat, shut down and shutout.
Then you say Kirkpatrick is a thug and Mark Barron is overrated? Mathieu cheapshotted DK the first game and Barron has two BCS rings.
Oh, and as for Collins: You LSU fans can thank yourselves that he's going Bama. He made his verbal and your fanbase slandered him and his girlfriend and then you think he'll change his mind? What a bunch of morons!
OOh shit dat nigga ga harrrd ole bitchass lik ole wacka flacka flame in dat paint shiiiiiit niggga shiittttt! i heard he played shit teams in highschool and had a huge line thats why he looked so good, can anyone give me their view on this?

@nootherjt he was a defensive player so the line makes little difference

this dude is crazy i cant wait to see him next season roll tide
omarbuckeye 1 month ago
@omarbuckeye hate to break it to you but it isn't official. A lot can change between now and signing game and since he lives and grew up in Louisiana, the chance of him switch to LSU is extremely high.
BeatTheHeatNigga 1 month ago
@BeatTheHeatNigga
I agree. there's still a couple weeks before it's official and anybody who thinks LSU still won't go after this kid is crazy. His mom obviously wanted LSU and the fact that he's from the NOLA area might mean a change..we'll see soon.
GOBLUE2893 1 month ago
@GOBLUE2893 It would also make sense that he would go to LSU because they've had the best defensive backfield in college history. i mean
2009 - Landry
2010 - Peterson
2011 - Clairborne
2012 - Reid/Mathieu/Simon
Like honestly, going to play safety for them would secure his future in the nfl in a heartbeat and besides, Bama focuses on their line. They backfield is rarely recognized, which is why Hightower and Firk-whatever are the few safety/corners that will be drafted
BeatTheHeatNigga 1 month ago
@BeatTheHeatNigga ummm hightower is a linebacker first of all and Dre Kirkpatrick is the 7th nfl prospect at CB at alabama so get your facts straight!
brandonrolltide22 1 month ago
@BeatTheHeatNigga U mad bro?
immaballa341 1 month ago
@BeatTheHeatNigga Ummm. last time I checked there are 8 DBs in the NFL from Bama with 3 more expected to go in the draft this year, 2 are projected in the 1st round in next year that will be 11 DBs from Bama in the NFL.
TheMakarov42 1 month ago
@TheMakarov42 DB-U = LSU
Reid + Mathieus + Claiborne + Smith > Fitz.
nuff
1-1
BeatTheHeatNigga 1 month ago
TheMakarov42 1 month ago
@TheMakarov42 Just two questions.
1. Which cornerback was a top 5 draft pick last year and started his first game and leads the NFL in Punt Returns?
2. Which cornerback is getting drafted THIS year in the top 5, possibly being the third pick?
have a nice day :)
BeatTheHeatNigga 1 month ago
@BeatTheHeatNigga His name is KIRKpatrick not FITZpatrick. Dre is way better than Tyrann Mathieu. He's overrated af and not even close to being the best on his team.
BallaC0018 1 month ago
@BallaC0018 his stats are better than *Kirkpatrick (my b). he has a faster 40 time (he's faster), better instincts, and for someone who is over four inches shorter than kickpatrick, it's embarrassing that he has more tackles, interceptions, forced fumbles, AND fumble recoveries. You don't have to like Mathieu but the least you can do is respect that he is talented. He's the smallest guy on the field and yet, gains the most fear out of his opponents and probably makes many big plays
BeatTheHeatNigga 1 month ago
@BeatTheHeatNigga: It's rather funny to me that he has a faster 40 time and yet famously go beaten so bad that he had to cheap shot Kirkpatrick to keep him from nailing your man on a punt return.

@Bamabrute going number two is doing what?? lol and idk i was just commenting no biggie
brentaugust7 2 months ago
He was scared to compete for a spot at LSU he knew that at LSU he was just going to be a regular player because their defense is already explosive, and he's a saftey! TM7 aint goin no where and he was scared of that, he wanted to go somewhere and start instead of becoming a humbled and better player by learning from number 1
brentaugust7 2 months ago
@brentaugust7 His fiance went to Alabama I read. That probably had a lot to do with it.
Bamabrute85 2 months ago

He is just lucky and undisciplined.

men vs. boys. come to LSU landon. you will be in the NFL in three years and have a chance at the heisman. look at bama dbs. they are usually overrated (mark barron) or thugs (dre kirkpatrick).
clayharris6 2 months ago
@clayharris6 Really you wanna talk about overrated and thugs! What are you smoking?

@clayharris6 Roll Tide man
GriffinMcCarley 2 months ago
@clayharris6: Overrated? Those two were part of a defense that shut LSU completely down. Not just beat, shut down and shutout.
Then you say Kirkpatrick is a thug and Mark Barron is overrated? Mathieu cheapshotted DK the first game and Barron has two BCS rings.
Oh, and as for Collins: You LSU fans can thank yourselves that he's going Bama. He made his verbal and your fanbase slandered him and his girlfriend and then you think he'll change his mind? What a bunch of morons!
