i have a black rim and i am putting on a green won for my bmx bike can i just take the hub and spokes off and putt it on a new rim or do u need to bye new nipples aand spokes
.....hmmmmmmm, seems like the only video on wheelbuilding that look correct. However, i can't tell if you passed the non drive spokes under the drive. Do you have the head of the spoke on the outside of the flange with your key (1st) spoke?
This is a front wheel so there are no drive spokes. That said, the pull spokes are correctly positioned for braking - as this is a front disc hub. I followed Shimano's instructions for building a front disc wheel.
Not sure who you are replying to, so my apologies if I misinterpret. If you are building a rear wheel the cog set must come off in order to thread the drive side spokes.
@wonderweasel I just had to log into my youtube account to say this. You're a fucking moron, How can you tell someone how to spell when you can't yourself?
''@knt1tricktips In the beginning I bet you looked funny to!''
it's (too) you fucking moron, yes it has 2 O's
before you go chatting shit to other people online look at yourself. I bet you don't even know the difference between there and their.
Thanks!!! One day I will do a more detailed step-by-step explanation including how to plan for the valve stem, making sure the pull spokes are in the correct position (there is a whole science behind that) and finally that the hub label aligns with the valve stem and is readable from the rolling forward position. The last is especially important so that when other bike geeks view your build they know you are skilled!
HOLLY SHIT THE RIM WAS FLOATING AT THE BEGINNING

did you leave the cogset on?
terrapin52 2 years ago
This is a front wheel, so no cogset. But on any rear wheel build you have to remove the cogset otherwise you can't thread the spokes into the hub.
wonderweasel 2 years ago
no you don't

what about an 8t?
its so small there's no need to take it off
dermotk5 2 years ago
You are a douche if you are using an 8t... simple as that
wonderweasel 1 year ago
@wonderweasel how.
iiCNDii 1 year ago
wonderweasel you're the douche. people are just asking questions and you have to respond like an asswhole.
johnnyboyplus6 1 year ago
@johnnyboyplus6 Do you read everything in a super-serious voice? If so life must feel needlessly harsh!
BTW - not that I really care, but its "asshole" not "asswhole" - that simple grammatical error would likely open you up to ridicule elsewhere.
