  • Why do we even have a dislike bar anyway?!?!? If u don't like them go to something that u do like and don't put mean comments on something u do like.....sheesh

  • That doesn't even look like a koi... Check this one out: tinyurl com/7ezcv6o

    Way better than yours !

  • Rated r superstar

  • i have2 koi fish in my half sleeve ^_^

  • @shabbeh19 wow you're so cool and great

  • you young inspiring artist should really take some time to go and see what Koi fish really look like. Almost to the boy {or girl} you are attempting to draw the fish in the stylized Japanese fashion; believe me, you will never gain the mind set that will allow you to do a drawing such as you see in old Japanese woodblock prints or on calligraphy scrolls. In fact most of the Japanese Koi drawings and paintings (sumi e) are simply made with standard calligraphy brush strokes. Do your own thing...

  • 5 people don't know wht a koi fish is and they can't draw one...

  • dude i saw this drawing on google it looks almost exacly like this one exept the scales other than that good job i like it

  • THIS IS GREAT! HOW CAN PEOPLE DISLIKE THIS?

  • i really like this if someone really wants to spend like 2 hours on perfect scales let them lol

  • Actually the finnage is more accurate than in other works.

    It´s kept more realistic.

On other drawings the dorsal fin is too near to the head, just like you suppose.

But I have to agree, the scales are quite bad.

  • three things that i would have improved:

    1. twist the body

    2. better scales ( relax when you draw the scales and dont hurry. when i hurry my scales turn out just like yours so maybe you just need to relax more)

3.bigger fins and the top fin should start closer to the head.

    great koi!

  • watever its still awsome dude

  • awesome koi but... bad scales dude!

  • yah i agree the body i think needs to be a bit slimmer toward the end and the scales should be more equaly proportioned.

  • The body is a little wack, but you can fix that with a little practice.

Little tip on the scales:you should draw each row across and the scales of each row go from crest to crest of the arch of each scale in the row under it. Keeps the pattern and stops it from becoming a mess like that.
