I thought in ballroom dancing you were NOT supposed to do heel leads in Latin dances.

@1969Chronos strict ballroom and street salsa are different worlds. these are styling moves, anyway, if you could pull off a headspin with accents on 2 and 6, it would be fine.

Here the heel is used to drive the same hip motion that continues throughout the salsa steps, so its pretty up and up.

@kiyoshi00 Thank you for the technical clarification. It's highly appreciated. Another great difference between international ballroom (now called dancesport) and street salsa is the sharpness of movement vs. the fluidity of salsa.
