This is very fascinating. Although I don't think I would buy this, due to the sound and its sort of boring and jerky motion, I am sure that this is a concept you could build on. You could definately use the same principle with a different design, and perhaps do something with the sound, and you would have something as relaxing and mesmerizing as your bigger wall mounted pieces, but in a smaller and different format.

Is the noise from a ratchet being struck and loading a spring?
