@modeltrainexpert I actually own one of these little marvelous Mini-Track Mobile Vehicles. I picked mine up from the former SOO line's dead end spur at KInross Michigan.
@produKtNZ Actualy it's a two wheel steer, and i can testified that it's NOT power steering! We have the same Trackmobile here at Exporail in Delson, Québec Canada. It's a very usefull machine.Hope your OK down there with that Earthquake in New Zealand.
It's not a tractor. This is what one calls a track mobile. What it does is not a trick. That is how it was designed to work by the Whiting Company. These things are not for switching massive yards but are better suited for industrial switching where the owner company has no "real locomotives." They are a bi-modal machine as you guys just witnessed.
Hello, Dutchtrainmanserie22. Thanx for commenting. It is a fun little bug, isn't it? Cute tricks it does.
I've watched a few of your videos (U are a prolific poster, aren't U?) and they take me back to the NL. My Youtube name is a nom de plume, and I know well what a 'fiets' is, having bought one in Rotterdam 20 years ago that I still use frequently. I have a very good pal who lived in Den Haag, now, but who is originally from Arnhem, Utrect, and Ro'dam.

That's a handy little bugger. Could get me onto and off the LIRR with ease. Can it outrun an LIRR loco?
ponkkaa 3 years ago
U'd have to tune it up some, I think, to get it to outrun a commuter train.
