Dreamland Manor will always be my favourite album in the power metal categories. I know that Savage Circus is a like Blind Guardian 2.0, but I like the songwriting on this album a lot more, it's like a Greatest Hits album, all the songs are a beast.
Perhaps it's because I read that Thomen had already written these songs but not released them in Blind Guardian, so I'm guessing he already had everything on the table when he started Savage Circus.

It's also worth noting that the guitar work on this album is freaking sublime. Soooo many great riffs.

He just didn't take care of his body very well, it was a physical problem. Then again, Tolkki isn't exactly the healthiest eater out there.
