Bglass1, i was ther in those months, and it was very hot in mid day, it got up to 115 some days, but in the mornings it's chill, not too much rain, but when it rains, it rains veeerrryy hard. Any other questions I'd be glad to answer

And I wanted 11b or 13b but they didnt have any spots open for anything for years according to my recruiters computer...I watched him do it. But then as I was about to get up and walk over to the Marines office the 1SG sprinkled some magic dust on his computer and wala one 92y slot with option 04...and my recruiters jaw hit the floor LOL! hope it goes well in Benning forya. Im going Ranger though!

I served from 65-68 did basic at Ft Dix. The nost surprising things to me about theses vids are that the DIs are a lost less aggressive and demanding it seems AND the Basic is CO-ED!! I find that very different!

I am strongly considering joining the Army, but I have a bunch of questions in my heads, and my number one fear is what if i bring or cause damage to my two daughters because if I do go, they are going to miss their mommy. They are only 6 and 2. On the other hand, this idea of joining the Army is hunting me for a while, and I want to make myself proud, I need the change. I hope I can find a job in human resources or similar.

@yooper2 idk man, i grew up in the country climbing 50 ft trees, hanging off limbs and shit. all i gotta really worry about it getting into shape. spent the last year without a car and a gym membership. so i've lost alot of my upper body strength. i got a couple months to get my marksmanship up and at least be able to run a mile and 50 or more pushups, till i can use the gyms there

Echo Company, 3rd Batallion, 28th Infantry Regiment...from November 1989 to February 1990. I've been here, and I remember my drills...SSG William Hines, SSG Mark Blanke, and SSG Patricia Chapman. For those of you who are waiting to go to Basic...all I can tell you is once you finish...if you finish...you'll never forget your Drill Sergeants. BTW...you NEVER call your Drill Sergeant "sir" or "ma'am"...it's always "DRILL SERGEANT". This 10 year vet says good luck to the new recruits.
