well in the dead of night advocates for these worthless self serving laws have broken the law at the federal level too pass law. Attention was brought too the point of order about quorum do we believe by touching some one we can call for the death of an individual? Sickness touching some one, the person touched. the person having the aneurism over the touch like some parent that feels their kids so chaste O" we need a cop to wipe my butt? A doctor maybe? The laws is ridiculous & deplorable.
The two clueless Republicans holding up the unemployment extension bill H.R.3548 are Jon Kyle from Arizona (202) 224-4521 and Orrin Hatch from Utah (202) 224-5251.
Everyone give them a wakeup call for the unemployed who are now without benefits, and each week more join the list. Six million unemployed = Depression! Nationally, employers have dumped over 260,000 jobs, meaning that these are jobs that no longer exist.
The governors are being placed in a very awkward position. The fed is stealing trillions of dollars from their citizens, and attaching strings to any portion of that money they are willing to return. Obama is using thug tactics to rob our children of their future opportunities to succeed, and force-feeding us socialism. This is the ultimate taxation without representation.
BTW, If enough States (I forget the %) exercise the 10th Amend. they can bring down the president and install a new gov't chosen by the people. This is the way that the Founding Father's guaranteed, that the Constitution could be upheld by the people. If Martial Law was declared, the Gov. of the State can order his troops back to their State to uphold State Law. Hurray for the 10th Amendment. Google it and get behind it, Yes?
Look up the 10th Amendment! At least 20 States so far are declaring their Sovereign right to refuse Federal Government Amendments that are illegal under the Constitution of the U.S., such as Obama's Stimulus Plan. It is not legal to burden States with economic programs they cannot afford to sustain. Also it is not legal to force anyone under 18 to serve their community w/o any say as to how much they get paid which is also 1 of O's plans. States are drawing the line!
Sen. Hatch "[I think] they'd probably be stupid not to take the money." Next sentence he says "But I agree with the 5 governors who are concerned about it" (meaning taking the money). Logical conclusion--Sen. Hatch is probably stupid, lol!

Repos say they dont want to take the money, trying to grandstand on the stump. Yeah, repos you keep doing and saying that. See how well that 'worked for McCain when he suspended everything for the economy. Between picking Steele and refusing the people money in aid, you are just setting your self up for the okidok. What idiots. Thanks for ensuring more Dem seats.
If they don't take the money, it's going to find some other outlet. For pete's sake, Jindal is playing holier-than-thou over 90 million dollars for extension of unemployment benefits. Keep in mind that the total sum alotted to his state is roughly 3.8 billion.
If they don't take the money, they are retarded. Their people would be paying for it, but not receiving any benefit from it. Is there any politician who can just do what needs to be done instead of always playing the conservative/liberal game. Different situations require different solutions. Spending is not always the answer, but neither is tax cuts.
Yes, because we all know how well and efficiently the government uses money.
/sarcasm
If it really is 40% I'm sure about 30% of that will mysteriously go missing or giving to "some company" with no strings attached with how it will be used.
Obama my be different than Bush (and thank God) but he's still a politician.
Hey, shit head. Say you will take the money because it's a good idea or don't take the freekin money. One or the other. "Gee I'll take the money but it worries me". What a major ass.
Ted...please explain what you mean by "radical remaking". It sounds ominous, but my suspicion is that you are repeating what you have heard any number of "con-talkers" (i.e. Rush, Hannity, et al) exclaim without applying your own intellect. Prove that you are thinking on your own by explaining "radical remaking" Thanks.
I will answer your question if you can answer mine.
What public policy goal is attained by not including workers of not-for-profit religious centers in the (barely-worth-it) tax cuts?
OR
How does siphoning employees from the private sector to work in the public sector -paying them with tax dollars when they weren't before - ease the tax burden allowing economic growth to actually occur?
OR
How does mandating banks or companies do stupid things help them survive?
not sure what your questions have to do with your "radical remaking" comment. It is evident, though, that you are incredibly muddled in your thinking, and you need to stop listening to buffoons on talk radio and FOX "news" and begin thinking for yourself.
Well, we're moving away from intelligent governance led by great deceiver Obama into further stupidness and failure.
You ought to try thinking and learning from something other than a government-run education camp. What, are you foolish enough to think CNN actually covers news?
Why? You sound like one of these Limbaugh America haters to me. You call Obama a "deceiver", yet he has pretty much done everything he said he would do during the campaign. You simply want him to fail like that America hater Limbaugh.

Like you'd be smart enough to determine that.
What, you went to public school too? Its been decades since anyone got a classical, liberal education in a public school.

To call Limbaugh or his listeners an "America hater" is to show your ignorance.
But I already knew you were ignorant of what conservatism actually is.

Nope, and neither was passing the CRA in 1977.
Both are shining examples of liberal failure.
