marshallah for non arab they very good,!!!! and only arabs should be aloud to do this???/ that is so barbaric to think that way, so if i wear jeans and a shirt a westerner should say to me, wear islamic clothing not ours, we all live together! its so dumb people think like this!!!!!! im arab and proud yallah keep it up,
This is great fun and a fine performance. It captures the spirit of Khaliji in a stage show. By the way, I know and work with many fair skinned and blonde haired Arabs. Syrian and Lebanon have many. Their heritage is usually Galetian. These ladies did honor to this folk dance.
The only thing I can agree with you about is thier clothes they are really Khaleeji , but for your information my grandmiother stopped to wear them since 1920!!
For you information, many arabs wears this dress untill now, and use in videos and etc. And in our days you can find galabeya like this in shops of UAE.
According to your knowledge seems this russian girls knows more about history of GULF more than you.
you should be proud and happy that they are embracing your culture and are even interested in it! well done girls and thanks for taking an interest in our culture.
The first song is from Muhammad Abdu from Saudi Arabia. I don't know the name of the second song. The third song however, is familiar to me, but I don't remember the name of the song.
i thought this was pretty cute. I wasn't expecting the jump from traditional music to maskalni..but still enjoyable to watch. I'm still learning about this for of dance, any suggestion on where to find a more authentic example on youtube?
like as in if yu think these are beatiful than wats ugly.. cuz 2 me they lo0k average..n ur sayin khaleejis r ugly ppl in general? n There are beautiful Khaleejis.. alot of them are.. such as myself :P im Kuwaity/Lebanies/&& Iraqi C= n yu still didnt tell me wat yu r
music has no fronteir, arabic music indeed is exotic partly because arabic scale is 24 notes (quarter tones included) unlike westren (in the piano ther is 12 notes= 7 white and 5 black in the piano ) only half tone , but in the arabic scale (magam) there is 24 notes.. that is why there are more enfasis in melody .. and rightly so when they describe it as melodic (more than harmony)
These song are khaliji Saudi, kwiti, amarati, omani
Maaşallah nice performance, there are blonde Arabs too.. ( in Lebanon for example).. And also can only Arabic people dance.. No everyone can dance... Ok people of the Gulf region are mostly dark but who cares..? It is their performance that counts.....
Belkis
did i insult you? i gues no...so why are you calling me stupid? So from your point of view - every girl who wants to participate in such concert should recolore her hair? I think it is stupid...the main thing in haliji is a spacial manner - but not the color of hair...if the dance is bad the color of hair won't help. Don't you understand it?
@anahiya MAYBE BECAUSEE a Blonde Girl Loves The Dance!! Hey Plus It Is Russia!! There are blonde, dark haired girls.. every variety you want.. I prefer u to keep offensive comments away -.- And no one has the rigth to judge a girl or boy for anything they have..... phisically talking.......... accept them as they are or your fucked.

I was dancing at Emirats and this is the best video for khaleeji dance on youtube, this is the real feeling for this dance in khaleej, I only saw this feeling in khaleeji people, Congratulations!!!
the name of the singer is "rashid al-majid" i forgot the name of the song - im 99% sure its called "tekfoon" (not sure what it means though, because i dont speak arabic)
LOL, ok so i was wrong about the song name, but i just listened to it right now on my CD player, and i can guarantee its called "Habeebety" (or as the arabs would spell it "7abeebety" [number 7 is pronounced "H").
(By the way, im referring to the first song in the video - not sure about the others)
Thank you for your post, but I know it already. I want to know more. For example - is there some special meaning of this dance or this dresses? is this dance for special ocasion (for example wedding etc.)?
they are really awesome.. i also loved the songs they chose. That was one of my favourite saudi singers..his name is rashed El majed..The outfits are very chic and classy...great job

white people like to learn about other cultures because of one of two reasons or both...
1. they like to learn to take over and control
or
2. they think they can be as good, if not better than the original people.
and besides, a khaleejia would not even think this was a khaleeji dance if you werent wearing the dishdasha ya habla lol

The second song is called "Wardet Blady" (I think it means (rose of my country). Is sung by Rashid El Majed and another singer whose name I forgot.
