It's trying to find one in New Hampshire at a reasonable cost that stops me. The Pappi is about the best breed going...hands down in my book!

In response to mackannn, no these are rated as number 9 in smarts and first in the toy category. If you ever have been near one or seen one you would never say this. I have owned a pap for years and lost her at 16, broke my heart. My first I lost at 19 so they are the smartest little dogs I have ever known!!!!

@Mtndewowns Just saw your comment, you will have loads of fun with your pup. Ours does all the jumping & bouncing and would play all day with his toys all day. It's funny at park he should be on facebook with the amount of friends, and he flirts with his girl friends!. If you really want to teach tricks they are very clever. Good luck with new pup.
I love this video! That looks like one happy dog! I'd really like to know how to teach the prancing and the hopping (the shorter "jumps"). That is adorable!
Almost all papillons have 3 colors. Black, white and tan. The only ones without 3 colors are black+white, red+white and lemon+white and these are much less common than the tricolor or sable variations..
He's so cute and adorable.. Is he fixed? I have a girl Pap who I would love to mate.. Of course I'll prolly want to keep the puppies too. haha. They're the best pet and great with children. Thanks 4 sharing.. love the song you chose... haha. =)
Oh that is just the cutest thing I have ever seen I actually started laughing and almost woke my kids up! Ive got a one year old papillon she can balance thing on her head but I would really love to teach to do jumps and things like that if you've got any tips! Great job!
Thanks so much! Find out if your Pap is toy or food motivated & use that as a lure to get them to do circles & stuff-actually alot of what Dillon does came pretty natural-he's not a typical Pap-he's one of a kind -very special boy for sure-good luck!
I own my own papillon! I'm so delighted to see your videos! I wish I could teach mine to do these tricks. Leo (my papillon) knows Sit, Stay(on his back), Paw, Speak, and a few others simple commands... :P
@Areliagh: It's always easier to encourage existing behavior than to start from scratch. When a dog wants to play, he goes into a play bow, with his hindquarters in the air and his front end to the ground. What Dillon is doing probably started from scooting backwards, as his human playmate approached. This was obviously adorable, and he probably got a positive reaction that encouraged the behavior. Papillons are incredibly smart and responsive, and they love to please their owners.
We call Cricket's (my papillon's) treats "cookies" too!

Well I didn't actually teach him alot of what he does-he did it naturally-I just put it on cue-I should do freestyle-he lives to work & play-thanks!
