In my personal opionon that can and will be argued and thats okay, but I believe Father, she is addressing the Lord, because the verse ends with... to see if Im still free from you... 1:22 she looks up and any Tori fan knows about her religious expiriences or whatever just making an observation no point intended. This wome is amazing and a genius I have followed her work for about 12 years
i sometimes wish what her lyrics in this song referred to, though it sounds so stream-of -consciousness, like she could have written all of it at a go with whatever came to her mind.

yeah! definitely! i also must admit that i do prefer the "darker" ones.. especially bliss is soooo special and really overwhelming me everytime i'm hearing it. after seeing it live... it really got me.. and by now i think it's one of her best songs ever... =) *turningupthevolume*
i love tori amos! this is one of her best songs. i hated american doll posse so bad (with the exception of a few songs). the new CDs not bad at all... but i miss these kind of songs. i think her music is better when it's a bit darker. just my opinion.
