Hi all, That was brake dust, they were having truble with the brakes that day. That's why the maintainer was behind the train. Thoses cars were emty.

The cars in the rear were full , but the cars on the front were emty. I just watch the video again. you could really smell the hot brakes as it past by.

This was the HERZOG train dropping ballast. The location is the Ex Reading Co. Station in my hometown of Royersford, PA.
