@futurerev21 because they use the same size bullets as pistols, it is an smg; it has a stock and you use two hands to hold it, so it's very convenient for having a silencer and it's really quiet too. plus it's a very compact weapon (already good) used frequently by special services so the silencer is needed you could say, making it ideal.

@robpr26 your average 9mm has a terminal velocity of slightly higher than 1100 ft per second, and at 200 yrds your looking at that being less than half, at 60 yards the velocity drops to 550 feet per second, add in the silencer and sub-sonic powder grain, and your looking at considerably less.  penetration is questionable, but itd probably still feel like you were getting punched by a body builder.

@IMFDB I have one of those as well, but prefer the A3. Reason being with the SD it's ALWAYS subsonic and with the A3 I have the choice. The SD is also very dirty to shoot due to the ported barrel. That being said, the SD is a blast to shoot, but if I had to choose one it would be the A3.

I don't see the comment that you guys are all critisizing so I won't say whether the guy is a moron or not in general...however...there actually was a MP5 K-N variant...it actually came before the MP5 K-PDW but it really isn't much different. The PDW has the "navy" trigger group (3 round burst) with 3 lug threaded barrel and a side folding stock, the K-N is the same only with a fixed stock. I know this is a petty difference but it was an actual model of the H&K MP5 it's just not made anymore.
