It does effect the audio quality, bc 360 is for low connections, therefore low audio quality. 720 and 1080 streaming is for high connection, therefore is the audio quality much better.

look it up or buy a better audio system if you cant tell the difference

Has no effect on the video quality at all. 720 & 1080p/i is simple the video channel display resolution and whether its progressive or inline.

HDMI does allow high audio fidelity rates, such as 192kHz uncompressed with sample size of 24-bit, but the audio will be transmitted the same whether the video is at 720 or 1080.

To sum up, Audio and Video are both encoding separately, increasing(or decreasing) the video definition has no effect on the audio, they are separate.
