Err, now the fighters wear gloves in MMA, and K1 as well. The only style who don't are Vale Tudo combatants. Come on, you really think Tyson is going to fight in MMA? How much is he worth, millions despite what the media say and he's going to fight for 20K, i don't think so. Don't get me wrong, i ain't a Tyson fan but he WAS a monster. Ok, 1 st topic gloves. K1 and MMA both use gloves now, they are only 4oz bag gloves i believe in MMA & K1. K1 uses both sets of style, stand up and take down ground and pound or both together.
But back to the original statement which was Tyson vs Mclean. Tyson would destroy Lennie. All Lennies fights the are shown here show him wearing gloves so that shouldn't be an issue?

some good points. yer can put muscle on without roids.some points you make are well out c(about it not ptomoting fat and changing the facce). certain steroids create a lot of estrogen which can turn too fat if the right diet, training and anti estrogen medication is not used
the part about the face changin. ive found that steroids like test and deca can make yer both lose fat weight and gain water weight in that area. my jawline went chisled but it wasnt noticable cause my cheeks puffed out

If you believe Lenny turned down Roy Shaw's offer of a 4th fight, after beating him so easily in the 2nd & 3rd, - then you probably also believe Roy's claim that he only lost the fights due to taking ginseng. As for Lenny not talking about the boxing matches where he was beaten, - give the guy a break for being human. Ali & Tyson lost fights against lesser opponents too you know. Nobody seems to doubt their reputation.

i think shaw only talked about the ginseng thing after 1 fight but i might be wrong as its a while since i read both autobiographys. but i still think shaw was harder and did a lot better against pro or ex pro boxers than lenny ever did. fair comments tho.. if your interested in these 2 then u should read a book called WILD THING by lew yates who also claims to be the guvnor and fought shaw its a good read....

Thanks for the reference to WILD THING, kie. It was their 2nd fight where Roy claimed to be weakened by ginseng. That excuse might have held up had he not been beaten equally quickly & more decisively in the 3rd fight. I agree that Roy was a better boxer than Len. - Len won on power & aggression more than art, because he had the same mentality as Tyson, in never believing that he could be beaten. Consequently, maybe he didn't worry too much about defence, which Waldron & Fields exploited. Cont.

You have to have enormous ego & confidence in yourself in any field to get to the top of your game.
