a relative was doing research on her family and found his unmarked grave and then found out his history, she approached the local council who arranged to have a free headstone errected in his hounor, and it took off from there to the dedecation and a parade

President Abraham Lincoln gave a speech after the battle of Gettysburg. ",,,, to those who gave the last full measure...." Salute all those men who fought and died doing their duty. For a warrior, dutys call's cannot be ignored, nor shorteded. Good bless them all white and black. I belive in an after life and in my belief those who gave their last full measure are in warriors heaven. A place of peace enternal.

@norcalnupe I must assume from your racist comment, that you are 'African-American'. Now there's a joke if ever I heard one! What you actually mean is that, without the White Man who you appear to despise so much, then you would (had you even survived to your present age) still be grubbing around in some fly-blown African dust-bowl trying to survive yet another boring, disease ridden day! @Factnotfictionpeople There is no such thing as an African-American. Africans that are born in America are either visitors or possess green cards. A melting pot means that we have all melted together therefor we are all Americans. Now if one wants to call oneself a black American I guess that would be okay but I don't hear anyone referring to me as a "white" American. Just my opinion.
