This is called VeryHard mode?... I'm pretty sure the Arcade CPU's could do better than this. And it was rated hard on the machines as well... While impressive at some points, your overall play style was completely lacklustre to deserve more than 7 points.
@ShadowArcsphere as said in almost every comment I made, I have another video where I play much better (perfect on jaguarundi). its called "Virtual-On Agressive Battle Style"
not impressed... is that very hard on pc? when i play it in the arcade.. theyre much stronger.. and .. some of the bots there u can easily perfect ... like the viper .. just use special attack on the start..
@DeathXLight28 as said in almost every comment I made, I have another video where I play much better (perfect on jaguarundi). its called "Virtual-On Agressive Battle Style"
Actually the arcade port of VOCT (Virtual on) came out in 1995, then the Sega saturn port came out in 96, followed by this version (PC) in 1997 so this is from 1997.
I don't know, you transition a lot between fights, which looks like editing to string together good fights as opposed to one run, you don't show the whole fight with Jaguarandi which I find suspect (because anyone who played the original VO knows that one miss step on that fight can put you in a world of hurt) and you didn't show the fight with Raiden.
I wont discredit your skill, as your pretty sharp, but dispite that I'm not really impressed, aside from a bang up job on the Fei Yin.
I'm not bragging but as far as I can I remember, I beat like 7 grown up guys in our city without me losing (how can it not be?I'm the only V.O fan in that arcade!). But when I played the second version of this game, that's when I had difficult time in finishing this game.
You may be playing on something easier than very hard mode, or maybe you are playing on fierce mode (harder than very hard, which isnt available on PC)
How did you get the PC version working? I tried to do it on my system, but the requirements kept asking for a Voodoo graphics card... not sure if I needed something else.
You have a solid sense of spacing with the weapons, but you need to work on your movement. What system is this version for? I know it's not the Saturn Version because of Temjin's colors.
Ok, you probably don't like what I'm about to say, but I'm honestly bored watching this video, cos the ownage is mostly dependent on AI bugs. I was hoping to see at least a few HKSRs or sword-cancels. At any rate, I find Temjin too boring; I prefer to tongfer-slide-dash-cancel my way around the battlefield at breakneak speeds.
I just found this in an arcade yesterday and quickly took a liking to it. I just picked Temjin because it looked cool, and lucky me I got the beginner friendly mech.
oh, i meant location. are you in the us? there used to be a list of arcade machines in the us, singapore, etc...some of them were really intense, like every friday would be vo night w/ freeplay etc.
hello! i've been playing VOOM for about 10 years. would you like to have a game sometime? We can use hamachi to simulate lan connection, although my connection right now isn't very fast.
also, not to burst your bubble but i'm fairly certain that this isn't very hard mode =) you'd never be able to hit a cpu temjin with a walk-up slice on v-hard mode.
i know that was an easy mode one...look at my videos, i have another one with all very hard mode and fast kills, called "Virtual-on agressive battle style".
rip the music from the original Virtual-on disc (i have it), burn the music onto a new disc, and they will play when you play the game. (the original disc doesnt work on my PC but the ripping of it does)
The PC version was a surprisingly good conversion for that time. The colors were nicely done and the details were mostly there from the arcade, with some lower quality textures of course though. And the problem was, that with it being even as faithful a conversion as it was, few machines at the time had the power to run it properly. Not a problem anymore with today's PC's though of course. Then again, you can also just emulate the original arcade game now.
Actually, the original arcade game barely emulates. You pretty much have to use the PC version, but it runs perfectly on PC. The only problem is, if you don't have the CD, you don't get the music (not to mention you have to hex edit the game).
Holy friggen crap, how the hell do you make bal-bas-bow so goddamn easy. He's practically the only one I had issues beating, even compared to the unknowns.
I'm usually good with Fei-Yen, Arphamad, or Viper II
dont be afraid of the floating mines and you will be ok, bbb uses his floting mines in a psichological presure tacticas making you move the way he likes and than he pwns you when you go right into his trap, it's best to do things that he doesnt expect you to do
Me and my bro used to play this game a lot. Sometimes I would have to bring a fan in to cool us down because we would sweat so much from concentration. It was one of the best fighting games I ever played.
yes its the easiest to get a perfect on (besides temjin) because if you get hit once you are probably gonna die and my computer cant load the continue screen so yeah XDD
and i do beter pwnage i pass the game 2rounds ea lvl with tem: 4,36min i passed the game with all robots i know secrets so write iff you need enything on skype nick red-temjin
Lol, i figured out a completely cheap way to face belgdor with temjin now, id love to post it, but lol, i cant play the game on this comp and i cant find my laptop.
Is yours downloaded or on a disk? Keep in mind that this game is made to run on a Pentium MMX, but for some strange reason it works on most laptops, and laptops only. Odd.
not exactly, it is suposed to only work on intel MMX procesors, but i did a bit of exe file hexing and removed the stupid CPU check and now it runs on everything
Where did you download this?
