Can someone explain this scene for me?

I own this movie and i have been watching it since i was about 10, and everytime i saw this scene i laughed because I thought that Leslie was thinking back to years ago when they first met, the exact same way as they met now.

But now when I see this i am wondering if the joke is that they have never met before and they just met 2 sec ago, and frank is going back to those seconds xD.

Both jokes are funny, I just wanna know which one is the intended one xD.

I believe the joke is, -As one gets older, one minds start to falter. Perhaps i should say, you start to forget things. So the joke is that Leslies memory in this particular film only spans a few seconds.

@Riddickmofo In many movies two characters might talk about their long-time friendship and then have a flashback of them when they were younger. In this scene one character states to the other "We go back a long way." which is followed by an immediate flashback of the encounter they just had, instead of the audiences expectation of a flashback from when they were far younger.

Have you seen Wrongfully Accussed? Possibly the most painful 1 hour and 25 minutes of torture anybody could endure. Anything he made, 1996 onwards is just fucking terrible, horrible utter dog shit.

This is a very funny scene.. Look how quick he puts his arms down at 0:08 - 0:10 - Looks like a continuity error. But maybe they done that deliberately, who knows with these great types of comedy.

unfortunatly , in some countries(like here in qatar) they cut out the parts which are to violence or to sexual. most of them contain only one or two sexual jokes, but they still cut them out
